Le Mas d’Huston
What We Love
- A dreamy golf and spa resort in the South of France, with breakfast and discounts Dining on the best of Languedoc-Roussillon produce in the hotel’s stylish restaurants
- Steaming your troubles away before indulging in a luxury facial at the lovely spa
- Being surrounded by all that natural coastal beauty
Set at the foot of Mount Canigou in the South of France, the four-star Mas d’Huston has a host of luxury facilities that’ll make you feel relaxed before you can say “au revoir, stress”. Outside, you’ll find a lagoon-shaped pool with plenty of chic sun loungers, while across the threshold, you can expect a sea of bright, light spaces, clean lines and shiny contemporary furnishings.
If R&R is top of the agenda, just take a short stroll down to the beach (you can even hop on the shuttle bus) or head to the spa for a reviving treatment from the extensive Terrake menu. There’s also two renowned golf courses to help you improve your handicap; the 18-hole, links-style golf course, l’Etang-Canigou, is one of the qualifying stages for the European Tour and La Forêt, a highly technical, nine-hole course running through a magnificent pine forest.
Whether you work up your appetite on the fairway or a sun lounger, chef Julien Boy will help you end the day on a gastro high. Alternate between brasserie-style fare at the Eagle, and sophisticated suppers at the polished Le Mas.
How to Get There
We stayed 6 nights in the Mas d'huston.
The staff is very professional in all departments : receptio, bar, restaurant, golf club, ...
We felt directly welcomed.
Room is very nice ,clean and big enough for 3 people.
The only negative remark is about the third bedqulity was below average ( very hard).
The food at the restaurant included in the half board is just GREAT !
Nice buffet, nice main dish and the gastronomic restaurant is very nice.
Big swiming pool, nice and clean.
All in all : a very nice stay !!
This was a disappointment from the first minute. As soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted with irritated unpleasant staff more interested in showing how much inconvenience for them it is to have guests staying at the hotel.
People say that the first experience is key in everything. and in this case this hotel management must have been missing in the "Introsuction to hotel management" class, because they suck at it.
On the positive side, the food is very good and the pool is nice, albeit cool.
But do yourself a service and stay somewhere where they understand what a hotel should look like.
A great place to relax with your favourite company. Good rooms, clean, great service - nice pool and bar, friendly staff. Lovely beach town nearby for outings. Recommendable and worth staying for a few days.
I have stayed at the hotel on 5 occasions. It is a heavenly place in a beatiful area of France. The decor has been refreshed this year making the hotel even better. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. It is one of my favourite golf courses, and I have played many courses in France and Spain as well as my native Scotland. Always a pleasure to visit Saint-Cyprien.
Typical Golf Hotel - but very nice - 15mins walk from the ocean - half pension optional - we had dinner last nite - buffet was very nice - some annoying before dinner music was changed to nice dinner music - we had a lovely evening. 18 & 9-hole courses, Pro-Shop and practice - all is very nice.
