Nice place to stay while visting Washington DC
Reviewed 6 hours ago

A visit from Toronto Ontario. Wanted my two kids (12 and 13 1/2) to visit the US capital and see the sights.

The Wink was reasonably located to transit and restaurants. Walking distance to the Lincoln Monument.

Accommodation was nice- staff was ABSOLUTELY GREAT!! KUDOS especially to Shannon, who always knew a good restaurant or the best way to the subway

Beautiful, clean hotel

Our stay at The Wink has been really great. It is in a very central, but quiet neighborhood and there are pretty good restaurants very close to this hotel. The room itself was way bigger than we expected and it was super clean. Next time in DC, we'll definitely stay here again!

Great deal on Travel Zoo

For the most part, we had a positive experience at The Wink hotel. We got a good deal through Travel Zoo. Booking was easy. The location is very convenient. The rooms are very clean. Our only issue was the service was completely "hit or miss." Upon arrival we had a wonderful valet who helped us with luggage and parked the car. The front desk staff was helpful and curteous. However, the next morning it was a different situation completely. The front desk staff was aloof. The restaurant staff was uninterested. Breakfast was extremely expensive for what it was- $14 for "biscuits and gravy" (definitely NOT a home made biscut, served in a bowl with gravy and an egg on top), $5 for one cup of hot tea. Then the next morning (Friday) brunch was great: softshell crab BLT sandwich with fries for $14- and it was delicious. However the restaurant staff remained apathetic. Overall, I would recommend the hotel, just be prepared for a variation in the level of service from day to day.

Excellent stay at The Wink

GREAT location, spacious rooms and very friendly staff. One night we had a problem with a loud noise coming form outside of the hotel. Upon our request, the staff moved us right away to a room on another side of the hotel. We were even offered breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful throughout the stay.

Great location, oldish small room
Reviewed 6 days ago

Perfectly located in the Golden triangle, surrounded by restaurants, close to Dupont Circle and Georgetown, nice services but I had a small room in a corner where the desk was not taking half of the space next to the bed. The room also was old fashioned, despite a very modern and comfortable lobby. It a good bed, but I could hear the street a little, wifi was OK.
