Great location and hotel with some nice touches

Hotel is easy walking distance to all major attractions. Rooms are comfortable and the hotel has some nice touches like the guest lounge and free bottled water. Noise from both outside and near by rooms was a distraction at times and there are only a few obvious restaurants in the local vicinity.

Everything you want: Ideal location and low key comfort

Usually I find I have to compromise on price, comfort or location. Not so with Club Quarters. Located right next to the Farragut West Metro station, it's super easy to reach from Reagan Airport and anywhere else on the Blue, Orange or Silver metro lines. Being a block from the Farragut North station makes it super-easy to get anywhere on the red line. Being just a few blocks from the white house and Dupont Circle puts you near all of the great sites and restaurants you could ask for. And with an Avis rental car office a few blocks away, you can easily get a car when you need it. I've rarely stayed at a better located hotel.

The amenities for a business traveler are likewise "five circle": good size room and desk, quiet room on request, friendly staff, an over-sized business lounge with snacks, drinks, computers, printer, work tables and lounging chairs. Coffee machine in the room. There's an adjoining old-school Italian bar and restaurant, still convenient if you don't want to go out. No pool so not as good for families, but there is a gym.

The area is safe-feeling although a few homeless congregate across the street in and near the poorly-stocked 7-11. Adjoining Farragut Square attracts a lot of food trucks and seems to be the locale of choice for the weekday lunch crowd on a nice day. Like most of DC, things get pretty quiet during the weekend though.

With no resort fee (that most-hated of surprises), you're in for about one-and-a-half Benjamins. If you have a car to park it will cost you another half Ben, but why would want to do this? You can go everywhere, and faster, without one.

All around, it's everything you want unless you need five star super-luxury. Then you'll pay three times as much for a worse location.

Club Quarters is located within walking distance of African-American and Holocaust Museums. Several restaurants are nearby. You will not need a car during your stay. Overnight parking is close and reasonable.
