How to Get There
This is a great hotel with great customer service. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and the valet made sure to take our car promptly. The hotel is centrally located, and the rooms were very clean. I really enjoyed the rooftop bar as well, so make sure you check it out if you stay here!
We arrived at the hotel and was welcome by Solomon. We had difficulties finding parking. Solomon was very helpful in offering a discount on parking. He asked the manager Steve to upgrade our room and he did. He even give us a bottle of Champagne for my birthday. Service was amazing. We were treated like VIP guest from start to end. We will recommend the Beacon and will always stay at the Beacon if we are ever in DC.
Nice hotel in a decent location. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Rooftop bar is a good place to relax in the late afternoon. Staff not overly friendly but they were competent at their jobs. Ask for a room that does not back onto the elevator as you will be kept up all night with clunking noises.
Not recommended due to room being small even when we booked Deluxe King in advance, smoking drugs on the floor, dogs in the hallway, no remote for the television, etc. we are hoping for a partial refund.
For $100/night this place is hard to beat. Do note that they have a $25 resort fee (with no resort amenities... other than the fee of course), so add that to the price. Older business class hotel, clean rooms, dated look. Great location, walk right to everything in DC. Staff here is a bit surly. Would stay again at the $100 (+$25) rate.
