How to Get There
Be careful, this facility does not have parking and it is not included in the price unless you buy the parking package with your room reservation, this is not advertised anywhere. Parking is approx $51 a night and does not house suburbans or big truck parking - mainly only car parking - I would suggest claiming parking thru a package before you get there because although I personally didn't get to use the parking the lot was full our last 2 days of our stay. There is a parking garage about 4 minute walk away on Desales St called PMI they charge $34 for 24 hours which is the option we ended up taking. Also, there were no safes or refrigerators in the rooms. Another thing is the bathroom was not designed for bigger men my husband is 6'4'' - 260lbs and he could barely sit on the toilet. Also, the waters in the room are not complimentary you will be charged for them approx $2 a piece.
The facility itself was nice and clean for the stay. Door greeters really friendly
Parking is not available and room is bit old
No other serive and shops are far a way from hotel
Small lobby they disnt tell us that they have washing machine and they don’t allow us to park in the hotel park
Make sure you inquire whether the hotel room is an actual room or whether it is a partitioned conference room. Whatever price break you may be offered for such a room, the lack of privacy, noise abatement and even security is not worth it even if you don't mind a Murphy Bed and being just off the lobby.
The small lobby gives the feel of a boutique hotel but the staff seemed to be more going thru the motions than attempting to provide an enjoyable customer experience. They did their jobs but projected disinterest. I don't blame them for the antics of guests in the next room, but I do believe that a more attentive front desk / security function could have headed it off. That is especially important when non-registered
I enjoyed my stay at The Beacon Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. I would recommend this Hotel to my friends and family, I'm looking forward to coming back in a few months.
Hotel misrepresented in pictures. In reality it is older, shabby, tired and unclean. Staff unprofessional (checked in by a guy in a jumper, NO uniform), unclean, smelt of smoke in room and lift. Decor gawky and loud. Overall feeling of neglect and tackiness. NOTHING like portrayed in picture on website - as modern, clean, bright and airy ... all in all dreadful.
