How to Get There
I was in town for a convention. Flew into Philly an hour and a half to the hotel.
This hotel is right in the middle of the action - with food and shopping adjacent.
It is a large complex - with gaming, on site restaurants, shopping, a spa and
harness horse racing out your window. This is an experience ... the desk clerk
Marquise was great - he acted like he appreciated me being there. The room
I was given was on the 9th floor overlooking the race track. My room was large
with great ambience liked the sanitary band on the toilet. This hotel is older but
in good shape - the staff here buys into what this attraction is selling. They are
very knowledgeable and helpful in every way. The Festival Buffet was great - good
food at reasonable prices - they are open for all three meals. I also ate at Frankie's
good Italian food - loved the garlic knots - you can't beat the chicken dishes. Sweet
Perks offers good quick food - the cookies !!! The walls here could be more insulated.
Vanessa from catering was great - making sure my meeting went off without a hitch.
All in all a great stay - will miss the excitement here. Will be back if I ever travel to
I was there overnight as part of a business event. The staff was pleasant and the property was nicely maintained.
Lots to do- Spa, Casino and horse races. The staff I encountered during my visit were all very pleasant and helpful.
Catered hors d’oeuves in the lounge were very good as was the breakfast buffet in the dining room. Lots of choices.
I would recommend a different shelf of some sort for the shower. It was extremely small and had ridges- shampoo kept falling over.
The elevators are near the main lobby area and the overnight rooms are down a very long hallway- depending on your room number.
Coffee sho in the lobby was bee good and also had lots of desserts.
Convention space was nice and well maintained.
Public restrooms were clean and well maintained.
When I arrived with a few of my business colleagues and pulled in with my vehicle for valet parking with a need to unload a ton of stuff for our booth at a tradeshow, we were pleasantly greeted by Lance who is the lead attendant valet. He was so delightful, helpful, and ready to serve. His customer service was second to none and is an example of true hospitality in this hospitality business!
I have been playing since 2002. The staff and security is fantastic. The hotel rooms and suites are great and reasonably priced. Like going to Frankie’s for dinner and Godivas to pick up sweets. Comps are good and as anywhere you gamble big wins are hit and miss. I don’t complain when I lose or boost when I win most people write reviews when they have lost and take their frustrations out of the casinos. I’m very fair when I review a place.
If you expect to win then you are already setting yourself up. Go, have fun and only take what you can afford to lose.
Was not expecting much, a little down time while in Delaware. Actually quite surprised at how good the restaurants were and how lively the place was. Awesome seafood, packed bar and had a great time, a few good affordable hotels close by.
