How to Get There
Saturday was our third time at this property in the past two months and even though I am very critical this hotel does everything right! We have arrived early a few times and when our room is ready I get a text (a few hours before check in time) The people at the desk are always on top of their game and overly helpful. The breakfast is amazing and even when it is crowded they hustle to make sure there is plenty of everything. The rooms are very nice and large and the beds are comfy, The pull out coach is OK but that is to be expected and is alright. The room was super clean. Parking is always there and available. The rooms are quiet and no outside noise. Sunday morning with Snippy the clown and her balloons are amazing and are an added super nice touch. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes and is great. One little thing is on real hot days the elevators are hot but it doesn't matter because the entire stay is just the best!
Hotel is ideally situated a block from the beach with ample off street parking. Rooms are very comfortable and a very nice indoor pool adds to the features. Complimentary hot and cold breakfast was terrific. Shout out to Liz who could not have been more helpful!
Had an issue the first night there with the room. The GM personally switched us to a better room the 2nd day through the rest of the time there. He and the rest of the staff were very nice.
Unfortunately the room itself was kind of non-descript. Nothing special and bathroom decidedly mediocre. It was decent enough but it won't wow anyone. Unfortunately the beds were quite uncomfortable. VERY stiff which led to aches and pains the during the days and never really got restful sleep at night.
The breakfast was ok at best. Pancakes and waffles tasted like they had been frozen, were thawed, then just microwaved.
Location was great and I'll be back to Dewey Beach but will likely skip this hotel next time around. While the staff were great, at the end of the day I want to sleep comfortably so I can be ready to enjoy the days on the limited time we're there.
