How to Get There
Great location, superb large room with large balcony and a tub. Excellent pool, breakfast and facilities. We were there for our 30th wedding anniversary holiday. Away from the traditional tourist locations, this was an outstanding stay at the port of Vylchada, the opposite end of the island form Oia.
Most day yacht cruises leave from here as ell as fishing trips and so forth. The Theros wave bar is a short beach walk away. A must stay location.
My husband booked us a 5 night stay for the first week of October.
Location-in Santorinis Harbour for catamarans this hotel is the only hotel around. There are two restaurants a short walk away and a mini Market. There is some activity going on at the harbour and some surfers surfing on the pebble beaches. This isn't a tourist area with lots of restaurant choice or shops but that's what we wanted. We hired a car for the day organised by the lovely Vasso on reception. She also advised us to take the €8 return tractor train along to Perissa beaches one evening and recommended a further Greek restaurant for us to try and thoroughly enjoy, she is the most helpful lovely lady.
Dimitra helped my husband plan a birthday suprise, Rose petal path and roses on the bed, balloons, candles, champagne and fruit platter all in our room waiting for us! She made so much effort and went beyond what he asked to make a lovely suprise. We were so grateful for her efforts too.
The room- the room had a beautiful view of the sea, it had plenty of room and a comfy bed. We agree with the other reviews that the towels and floor mats need to be replaced as they were all very tired. Our room was tidied and fresh bedding added each day. Also had a useful info booklet and emergency toilitiries.
Food- we had breakfast each morning, standard European spread with some local favourites too.
Pool area was beautiful, super comfy modern sunbeds.
Had a couples massage by Anastasia & Jenny which was super relaxing. Loved the cave pools.
The service staff, Alex & Olga were absolutely lovely, so chatty, always saying hi as was Vasso. They all made us feel so welcome and were keen to ask about our day/evening/plans.
Oh dear... Lovely setting, appears really nice but badly managed by a lazy manager who has no people skills, doesn't understand hospitality whatsoever!! Room was not cleaned properly on arrival. There was sand and hairs in bed, old worn towels, robes falling apart, dirty floors, air con broken and not fixed, door handles came off in Yr hand... The list goes on. Bad housekeeping and clearly understaffed. Staff looked miserable and conflicting info given when enquired about various things. It could be so good with a good manager. No attempt to promote any aspects of the place. What a shame. Overpriced and not as you would expect for the money charged and how the place is marketed.
