How to Get There
Meli Meli is a great place to stay if you plan to explore Santorini. We stayed here for a few days while we had a hire car and it is on one of the island's main routes, so was a super convenient base for getting around.
Our double room had a large double bed, small desk with chair and mirror, wardrobe, a little kitchen area (with fridge, kettle and cooker), shower-room / toilet, and a small balcony from which we could see the east coast of Santorini. We had several windows with shutters, on each side of the room, so could control the amount of light entering the room.
Breakfast was brought up to us on a tray each morning, and featured yoghurt, muesli, bread, butter, jams, croissants, a boiled egg, fruit and tea / coffee. We enjoyed it on the balcony, which was lovely.
There was a medium-sized swimming pool and a few loungers, available to all guests. I think there were about six rooms, but perhaps there were a few more. We only saw two other people by the pool while we were there.
Panos, who ran reception, was very friendly and very helpful, making car hire and restaurant recommendations and reservations very simple.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Imerovigli (uphill on the way into town!) It is not the easiest walk as the road is a bit narrow and used by some large vehicles, but it was manageable. I'd suggest taking a torch at night though.
rooms are well decorated, garden is nice, pool enough big 8x4.5 approx, guy at reception is very polite efficient and helpful (thx !) . what we did not know before coming is the noisy road 10meters from hotel...it is important to know ... breakfast is good however there is no restaurant so it is taken in your room or on your terrace( there , it's hot already at 8:30(July) and there is traffic in the road.
We had a great stay at this relaxing and pleasant hotel. The concierge Panos was very accommodating - always checking to make sure all was OK, and if we needed anything. Although it was away from the touristy "hub," it was easy to get to there; hiking path was close by. Eating taverns and restaurants were within walking distance. Nice pool and view of the beach. Welcome packet indicated that breakfast is available...but did not mention that it was extra. Other than that - all was great.
What a lovely boutique hotel run by Panna, who is a credit to the venue. Nothing is too much trouble and he certainly "goes the extra mile". The B&B offers a wonderful breakfast which is brought to your room at the time of your choice. We had breakfast on our patio each morning. Unfortunately the hotel is quite far from everything but a hire car quickly sorted that out
Lovely stay at this quiet hotel, staff great and breakfast on the balcony each morning😊rooms are clean and beds are comfortable,a car is needed to see the island but this is a super base away from it all.
