What To Know

  • Reception is manned from 8a.m. till midnight
  • Although balconies are private, the property’s small size means you’re aware of other guests
  • This area of Imerovigli is rammed with hotels – there’s no sense of isolation
  • Limited parking can be a problem in high season
  • Decor can be hit and miss but the lower category rooms tend to be plainer and sleeker – Double Rooms and Superior Apartments both have white walls and no canopied beds
  • The pool is deep but small, and the tiling is old fashioned

  •  Babysitting
  •  Bar
  •  Free WiFi
  •  Parking On Site

Couldn't recommend this place more. The view is unbelievable!! The pictures don't do it justice. The staff couldn't have been nicer or done more for you. A highlight was the breakfast on the balcony overlooking the caldera every morning. We were lucky enough to be upgraded for our entire stay for free which we were so grateful for. The town of Imerovigli was also so ideal for us - lovely and quiet but only 15 minutes walk to Fira. Imerovigli is really high up on the island so the views are extra special. Avocado restaurant and Confetti Dessert Boutique are two places very close by to the hotel that we loved. Book here, you won't regret it!

Best place to visit

We visit for 2 days in octuber, place is beautiful view is amazing, hotel is top of Santorini can see the sunset from hotel from the room, breakfast was lovely room service excellent, best place to stay, thanks again for hotel staff. Best regard,

Friendly staff, with a wonderful final night surprise

The staff at Iliovilisema were friendly throughout our stay, whenever we spoke to them or they delivered food/breakfast to our room. We had two rooms between 4 of us and we ate lunch a couple of times at the hotel. Despite the long wait the food was delicious. Naturally the views were amazing too.

The standard ‘cave style’ rooms were also large and clean. However the bathroom felt rather tired and dated and in need of being updated (room 17).

The breakfast was fairly basic (unless you wanted to pay to upgrade), but it was delivered to a time to suit you every morning- the one thing missing though were bathrobes which would have been nice to sit on your balcony with breakfast. A lot of the rooms differed in that room 17 had a large balcony area but room 1 only had two chairs overlooking a public footpath. It would have been nice if the property was smoke free on the balconies, as some are very close to each other.

We had a couple of issues during our stay which we spoke to and emailed reception about- it was on our final night we were surprised with an upgrade to the best suite in the hotel with our own private jacuzzi pool, complete with an assortment of lit candles and rose petals for our wedding anniversary. This was an amazing surprise and turned our average holiday into an incredible one- thank you so much for arranging this.

I would definitely recommend checking which room you would like before arriving as there’s about 6 different styles of room and I would say it’s worth paying a bit extra for the more premium rooms, as they truly are exceptional.
