How to Get There
We recently stayed here for 2 nights. This boutique styled hotel is literally is about 5 meters away of the very heart of Oia Village.
We were welcomed with a glass of some lovely sweet port like wine and chocolates.
The hotel organised our private airport pickup for €35 which was payable directly to the driver. The drive was approx 25 mins . The hotel staff was waiting at the entrance of the hotel to carry our luggage off the taxi. It seemed to all work like clock work.
Although the hotel is suited on the main busy street heading into Oia/Ammoudi bay we were not really disturbed with the traffic. The amenities were very good. We stayed in a spacious family suite although we were just a couple.
Breakfast is served in the comfort of your room or in your private terrace. Was glad it wasn't another bland breakfast buffet.
I would rate this hotel 5 if it had a pool or even a jetted tub in its premises.
Not the hotels fault but the occupants of the room above us kept moving furniture (probably coffee table) at 6am which woke me up both mornings.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again if we were to return to Oia.
If you cannot afford a place on the Caldera this hotel is a great alternative. Very close to the Caldera. Very affordable, clean and cozy. We stayed for 4 nights. The bus stop is close to travel to other parts of the island and yes there is Meltini just opposite which is one of the best places for great food in Oia.
The reason Fileria is shunned over other accommodations around Oia is because it does not offer a caldera view. But I guess that exactly is the kind of charm the hotel brings. For one, you dont need to climb flight of stairs, as the hotel is right along the main road. Honestly, there are only few hotels in Oia that offer caldera views with privacy and they come with absurd prices. Fileria, however, offers much more than a caldera view can bargain for. The rooms and facilities are well maintained, top quality beddings, complete bathroom amenities, and a free full mini bar. The breakfast is over the top, with mix of continental and hot meals served in your room, at your own designated time. The shuttle service is also very efficient. The best part is the attentiveness of the staff who take time and go out of their way to make things happen for you. No request is ever too trivial. I hope Fileria can maintain this top-notch service and amenities. I would never mind coming back and still choose to stay here.
My wife and I stayed 4 nights. The hotel is is located on the main road opposite the Melitini restaurant very convient access to the Caldera pedestrian walkway. There is a parking lot about 200m free for hotel guests.
The room decor was modern, very tidy and comfortable. The smart TV allowed access to Netflix. We had a patio table and chairs for breakfast in the front of the unit and balcony seating at the rear of the unit.
The hotel service was first rate. Marilena is the the very well spoken friendly hostess and Bako is one of the staff who helped with our baggage and service of breakfasts. There were several other staff who were equally friendly and helpful. Generally, a very positive helpful atmosphere which made our stay more relaxing and comfortable.
I would stay here again.
What a Gorgeous, Unique and very Chilled hotel that Fileria is! We were taken aback and we never expected any hotel in the city center with no view at all that could leave us with the best impressions and memories! Our room was stunning, huge, minimalistic, ergonomic, beautifully decorated and with really calming colors! Honestly one of the nicest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. There's also complimentary minibar, lovely toiletries and a coffee/tea maker.
All the staff is what makes this hotel to worth your visit! Even though the guys who will serve you the marvelous breakfast, with exceptional optional extras, in your room every morning don't speak or understand the English language(!), they are friendly. But we could never stop talking about the incredible reception girls and Christine who greeted us in the most accomplished way we had so far encountered, provided us with a lot of information about the island and the history of it and at the same time she made us laugh all through the check in procedure and told us all the shopping areas, beaches, bars and restaurants, plus her favorite one which was the best and we went twice...! So professional and yet so relaxed! She really went out of her way to provide superior hospitality! Thank you!
All in all, a fabulous experience and we would be truly delighted to stay there again!
We will definitely be back!
