How to Get There
The view is amazing, no denying it.
Reception is almost never attended which is outrageous for the price. On five occasions in three days we found reception deserted. Also stinks of fags and the receptionist smokes in there.
Experience could be so much better. The breakfast food was terrible. Poached eggs not runny despite specifically asking for this (surely it should be by default?).
Dinner was fantastic, the best meal we had in greece, so why was breakfast so poor!? Worse than the breakfast at 3 star hotels. The fact it gets delivered to your room is more of an inconvenience than anything as you end up with freezing cold pancakes and crepes.
Hot tub had stones in, heat adjustment is terrible so we spent hours trying to get that right and the staff were of minimal help, trying to fob us off, saying the jacuzzi expert wasn't in, and when he was he didn't speak english.
Showers in room ridiculous as water goes everywhere as there is no door/cover.
Could have been so much better than it was.
Wow! The views from Csky are unforgettable, the Caldera in front and the Aegean Sea behind. The hotel is a small boutique hotel, just 8 rooms. We stayed in a Deluxe suite, with a fabulous large terrace, daybed, sunbeds and sofas to sit on. Our Jacuzzi on the roof was disappointing, a climb out of a window to get to it and then it was a bit grubby. Our suite was 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, the main bedroom downstairs was great, but the access 'ladder' to the upstairs room wasn't good, and would be dangerous for young children or elderly visitors.
The infinity pool is perched on the edge of the cliff, great view, it is heated, but still cool enough on a scorching hot day. You are high up at Csky so it can be breezy. Orders for breakfast are taken the night before, a good choice of everything you could want and good quality. We also had a simple pizza and tzatziki lunch and that was tasty as well. Our evening dinner, which was included in our 'deal' was a let down, we ordered angus steaks with mushroom (mush), and it was poor. The steak quality was rubbish, and the veg was slop. This dish was 40 euros on the menu. We couldn't eat it.
Csky is out of town and most people hired cars who stayed here, however the local buses stop within 50 yards of the bottom of the driveway, so you can get to Oia and Fira within 15 mins at a cost of 2 euros. Taxi's are expensive, minimum charge of 20 euros to go 3 miles to Oia from Csky, use the bus instead!
The staff are lovely and eager to please, they are young and don't always serve drinks and food with the etiquette you would expect in a 5 star hotel, but they are friendly and will look after you.
My partner said he felt like he was staying in a James Bond style sanitarium. It did feel special, like we were on a film set!
We travelled to Greece a couple of years ago and decided to stay in Csky looking at their photos online and the reviews. They claimed to have a hot tub, spacious rooms and was a short distance away from the main Oia and Fira areas in Santorini.
Nothing was as per expectations - the hotel is so far away and higher up that you cannot walk to anywhere. You need to be driven to get anywhere. When we asked for a taxi we were told not to worry and one of the guys would take us where we want to go. But while paying our bill at the end, we saw that they had charged us for every trip without telling us about it upfront. Whilst we had no issue paying, it would have been nice to have been told about the charge so we could manage our excursions.
The hot tub on the roof was a mess - you had to climb out of a tiny window on the second floor to get to it and it had no water, was dirty with bugs in it and looked like it hadn't been used in years.
The rooms weren't clean and looked very shabby and outdated (not what you expect for the price we paid), sheets looked dirty and the towels were too thin to dry off.
For the money we paid - or even for far less - we would not recommend this resort. You can get far better in the main Oia area for the same price. We moved to the Andronis and stayed 2 extra days so we could experience Santorini properly.
This was the second part of our honeymoon. We had just stayed at their sister hotel
- Zannos Melathon in Pyrgos ( another beautiful hotel ).
Oh my gosh - this hotel is just fabulous. We absolutely loved it here.
The views from our large terrace were stunning. Our own private hot tub was an added bonus. Watched the sun go down, wine in hand all while being warm & toasty in the tub!!
Breakfast was amazing, again catering for my gluten free needs too! You really couldn't want for anything.
We chose to have dinner in our room on one night and this was so so lovely, just chilling with our dressing gowns on, eating delicious food and having a glass or two . We even went to the bar still in our gowns just to finish the evening off with a little shot of Mastic!!
The staff are fabulous, so helpful and they can not to do enough for you.
We did take the path to Oia ( about 40ish mins) it is quite busy in Oia and we were quite glad to get back!
It is ideally located if you don't want to be in the thick of it all, which we didn't so it was perfect for us. Imervogli is within walking distance and Fira is a bit further along. All easily accessible if you don't mind a nice walk. Other than that there are buses and taxi's.
This is just the best place, best views and best staff! We simply couldn't fault it.
Thank you to all the staff at C Sky ( & Zannos) for making the first & second part of our honeymoon so perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer!
Amazing amazing amazing - this place could not be any more perfect. Breakfast is incredible, all the staff are amazing and the views are to die for! Worth upgrading to a private pool if you can. Thank you for everything! A perfect start to our honeymoon.
From the checkin in where they gave us breakfast while we waited, to the welcome drink, to the great food - plan to spend a few days here and don't leave! You can walk into Oia on a track (about 45 mins), which we did one day - but was glad to be staying away from it all, rather than in Oia town.
