How to Get There
Hotel is perfect for families with kids - family program, disco for kids, kids food ect. Unfortunately program for adults is missing. But the room was beautiful, modern, clean. Amazing was the shower for two people. Also it's good to book ocean view room. Food was good, but nothing special.
Everything was simply perfect.
The food was superb, the animation team was the highight of the days!! The seasight is great. All is nice and clean. They have multiple pools, and bars, music and the service was also perfect.
We stayed in the Hotel for a week in September. still 30 C Sea an Air. But about 24th of Sept. started to cool down.
Fantastic crew , great hotel and attractions for younger kids.
Take sea view rooms!!! Other side is loud (all night town traffic).
Stayed here for a week in August with my 3 and 6 year old. Even though the hotel was busy, it was not a problem getting a sunlounger and also no major queues for food and drinks.
The food is really good at this hotel - plenty of choice of vegetarians. The snack bar by the pool which serves food until 6pm does a good selection of freshly cooked food, salads, fresh fruit and ice cream.
The all inclusive drinks weren't great as they are all unbranded and you have to drink from plastic cups but the bar opens at 6pm and Alexander serves a fantastic cocktail (we loved his mojotos at €6).
Beach is a little stony but the water is lovely and clear once you get in and not too cold.
If you get bored of the hotel food - there is a lovely Greek taverna next door to the hotel (by the hotels Almyra restaurant).
Great shop at the hotel too which sells pretty much everything you can think of and is reasonably priced.
The family rooms are great - double bed, partition and bunk beds with a small sofa. Huge balcony. Make sure you book a room with a sea view!
We stayed in the Petra Mare during the UK summer holidays.
We stayed in a family room which was great including the room divider which gave us all a little extra privacy.
Ierapetra is a pretty but smallish resort with numerous tavernas and great access to Chrissi Island.
The hotel is great for families, especially with young children. Well equipped and designed pool and beach areas.
The animation tirelessly entertains and keeps everyone who wants to be involved happy.
As the hotel is all inclusive the fare is generally good, local beer, wine and spirits available all day. Food in the buffet restaurant was generally good with just a few nights not quite so interesting selection. There is also an all day snack bar with freshly prepared salads and hot food available for the most of the day.
The hotel is located a short walk from the main town which has plenty to do and good restaurants if you feel like a change.
All in all a great, relaxing, fun holiday helped by a friendly set of staff in all areas of the hotel.
