How to Get There
So there were five of us - 3 kids (5,6,8), my and my better half. The verdict is unanimous - ***** best vaction ever!
The hotel is clean, free of all bugs, cockroaches etc. It is stunning how hard everybody works to keep this place clean, nice an cozy - from cleaning stuff, waiters, cooks, reception to animators.
Every single stuff member treats this place as a family business (which I think it actuall is!).
Leaving the hotel you can walk straight to a seaside promenade with restaurants, shops, cofebars etc - very very nice places.
This is the fact every one writes about on the internet. Petra Mare has really good food. It is not only my opinion - many people I met in the hotel confirm - World Class!
There are two pools and the are really nice. First one has 45cm and many attractions small kids could enjoy (pirate ship etc). This big one has salty water and it's big enough to swim, play with older kids and have fun.
- when I was watching pictures before our holiday - they were not showing how nice these pools actually are. The should hire a better photographer to make nice pictures of thees facilities.
Just by the pool there is a snack bar where you can grab some pizza, or other warm and cool snack together with cup of coffee, beer of wine. I loved this one. The food there is always fresh and warm - amazing!
The beach is located just by the Hotel (don't have to cross any street whatsoever - just walking to the beach straight from the pool or hotel bar). And there might be the only flaw that this hotel had - the beach was sandy but the sea bottom was stony.
This actually wasn't a problem for us since the kids are collectors - they love finding stones (lots of colors and shapes at the beach), shells etc so the had a really nice time - having special shoes for the sea - we spent most time at the beach.
The beach has it's own bar where you can get a cup of coffee, beer,or wine - that was great.
Just by the Hotel there is something everyone should save a few euros for - Water Sports - There are two guys that I'm really fond of - Aris and Ian. The have got jest skis and motor boat with all kinds of attachments that will rise your adrenaline level over the top. There is Banana express with cliff jumping and snorkeling - It's great And thees guys are great too.
After long day there is a bar - Alexander's Bar - this guy told me that he works there for 20 years - he really makes his bar a nice place you can spend evenings at. And there is Chrisa - cheer full waitress working her ass off keeping everything nice and clean. Cheers Guys!
Last but not least - There is an army of animators that do a great job to not let you and your family get bored. They organize competitions (volleball, table tenis, water ball, water gimnastice etc), prepare evening shows, dance and perform to entertain the hotel guests. Including children - there is special facility where your kids can have fun, there is football field and much much more.
Summarizing - this is such a great place for family with kids! My three kids loved every single day in Petra Mare and so were we.
The hotel, staff and the kids area and activities were excellent. The food was ok but not great. Excellent service and experience with the watersports on the hotel beach activities on the hotel where they offer a good variety of water activities including jet skis, wakeboarding and donuts.
The hotel is really very convenient for guests. This is especially true for families with children. The hotel has a large children's pool, games room, sandbox under the roof on the beach. The restaurant has a children's menu and special plastic plates of pink and blue color for girls and boys, or who like. During the day, animators work with children and adults. The assortment of dishes in the restaurant is varied. All dishes are well prepared, except for 2-3 cases when the meat was too dry. The sea near the hotel is very shallow and very warm. On the beach there are water sports and you can play beach volleyball.
