How to Get There
The hotel was amazing....but the staff was superb!
From Spiros whom made sure every detail was perfect and that we were enjoying ourselves to Adrian, Tina, Simos and Blerina (and the rest of the staff).
The hotel is beautiful with the Greek island ambiance, yet modern....beautiful churches on site, food is delicious, accommodations were great.
After staying in Santorini I felt that the nicest people were in Mykonos!!
We stayed here for my 50th Birthday with friends & had a fantastic time. The staff are superb especially Andreas & Bllerina who where friendly & professional. Rooms are very nice & kept spotless. The food is amazing... breakfast cooked to order but prompt & delicious... dinner in the restaurant is fantastic plus the service from our lovely waiter was great. The only issue I had in the whole week was on check out the reception guy with short hair & glasses asked me & my partner what the brown stains where on the towels. This was very embarrassing & after I explained it was St Tropez fake tan he just looked at us in disgust with a very awkward silence.... hugely unprofessional & we left feeling quite upset after an amazing week.
We stayed for a week and found it hard to fault the hotel.
It’s clean. Rooms are beautifully white and modern. Molton Brown toiletries are always a hit with me as well, and the towels were nice and soft and fluffy.
The staff are all super friendly and will go out of their way to help you, especially on reception.
The whole hotel has been lovingly designed with lots of little touches around like hammocks and swinging seats. The best sunbeds are the larger double bed sized ones which are more comfortable.
Breakfast was a generous offering and there are a few off the menu items- ask for a ham and cheese toastie, that was my fave.
Location wise, took us around 10 minutes to walk into Mykonos town which was great for us as taxis are quite hard to come by so if you want to be close to town this is great. And the hotel is still nice and quiet and peaceful- not a party place like some Mykonos hotels can be.
From the very beginning we were treated very well by everyone. They even upgraded our room to give us a Jacuzzi. Everything about Ostraco suites is well done. The pool area is spacious and comfortable. And the breakfast was excellent. The whole place is beautiful and functional and very clean. It’s an amazing place to stay.
We needed a chill out holiday and decided upon the Ostraco Suites. Very near to the town, so a walk down (steep) and a cab back.
The suite we had was absolutely lovely. Brilliant air conditioning, lovely bathrooms. A lot of care has been taken all around and aesthetically pleasing to say the least.
The lunches and dinner we had were of top quality and prices acceptable. However alcohol prices were a tad expensive. I asked for a wine list on the first night and was told there wasn't one. I had a bottle of lovely white wine but £44, ouch!.
There is a cocktail list but I am not a cocktail person. I did have a large g and t but again ouch! just under 20 euros.
My vision of a nightcap at the lovely bar - shattered! There never seemed to be anyone at the bar so maybe not just my sister and I thinking it was a bit expensive to us - as it would not be "just the one"
I do understand they are trying to go upmarket but I was paying for my family as a treat for our recent loss.
Breakfast was included for us. Let's just say staff must be fully trained to wait on tables sadly and this was not the case eg coffee served and a wait for milk, condiments not always on table.
Buffet breakfast would have been better and less stressful for all concerned. It would also have saved the chef producing solid omelettes and solid scrambled eggs. Sunny side up were ok if you didn't mind waiting for the tomato or bacon to turn up.
I think hosing down the patio area where my daughter was doing her morning yoga could perhaps have waited until she had finished !
Staff in general were pleasant and helpful but if you are going upmarket trust me staff training is essential.
