All-white boutique close to Agios Stefanos beach with an open-air spa and a restaurant overlooking Mykonos town

The Lowdown

On a hillside, a five-minute walk from Agios Stefanos beach, the Mykonian Mare is a sleek all-white boutique that offers jaw-dropping views of the Aegean Sea at every turn. The traditional Grecian architecture is offset by modern touches like chic pendant lighting and chunky wicker sun loungers. Fully revamped in 2014, the 38 guestrooms and suites are spacious and bathed in light, with sea-facing balconies and upscale Coco-Mat beds. Suites come with extras that include indoor or outdoor Jacuzzi tubs. In the evening, sip a glass of bubbly at the laid-back Sky Bar and dine on exquisite seafood at the property’s Mediterranean-style restaurant, Lakoya. Don’t leave without having an aromatherapy massage at the stunning alfresco spa.

In the Area

Ask at reception about excursions to mysterious Delos. Famous as the birthplace of the twin gods Apollo and Artemis, the island has been inhabited since the third millennium BC. Discover the Temple of Isis and the Avenue of Lions before finishing your tour at the Archaeological Museum, which is replete with ancient sculptures and brightly colored mosaics. In the evening hit the dance floor in Mykonos town, home to some of Europe’s hippest clubs and bars. Start with a sundowner in Little Venice, a charming district lined with medieval fisherman’s houses that are now chic bars, and finish up at Cavo Paradiso, an open-air club on a rocky bluff that boasts an oversize swimming pool, dance cabanas and big name DJs.

Worst time of my life
Reviewed 3 months ago

The worst experience of my life. Staff very rude. Manager terrifying, straight out the blob, she was the blob.
Once they have your money , blob does not care. Makes blob a better blob.
Service unmentionable , staff not trained, place not fit for human consumption .
Stay away

Pleasant stay!

We recently stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and overall had a really lovely stay. George was waiting for us at the airport on arrival and when we arrived at the hotel were given a nice welcome. Our room was very nice with a jacuzzi, no problems there.
Breakfast was okay, lots of choice but sometimes eggs were cold etc.
Katerina was so helpful, she really is a star and made us feel so at home. She's available on Whatsapp and is always happy to recommend restaurants, bars etc. There was also another very helpful blonde lady who works on reception but i cant remember her name!
The only negative was that the shutters were blowing in the wind and banging a bit but they did their best to secure them once we mentioned it.

Mykonian Mare review October 2018

Overall a great stay - rooms were lovely, pool and pool area could do with a slight makeover - new chairs etc and the pool could do with a tidy up / new paint job - nobody seemed to really use that area. Katerina was brilliant - she definitely makes the hotel, so helpful and on the ball at all times.

Breakfast was disappointing - food ran out regularly if you didn’t get there early and food was often cold. The manning and serving of breakfast needs to improve as they weren’t terribly helpful.

Otherwise great stay over all

Absolutely fantastic hotel, the room was better than expected. The staff were great, katerina who is in charge and always there at the end of WhatsApp to help out with whatever need and catered us all holiday fabulous. The waiters dimitris and katerina were also an absolute credit to the hotel, very very polite people and nothing was a problem to them. George the driver was a great man also who took us everywhere we went and always recommended great places. Would definitely visit again.

Nice place!

We recently stayed here for 12 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms could do with a bit of TLC and I would have preferred a door to the bathroom but apart from that the hotel is very pleasant. The staff were great....really friendly and helpful. The restaurant Serves good quality food and the meals we had there were good but not outstanding. There are other restaurants nearby and there is a bus every hour to Mykonos town . The bus stop is about a 10 minute walk away .
The breakfast buffet is excellent with lots of choice, fresh juice, cold or hot choices and delicious croissants!!! The service at breakfast was very good and if you wanted anything you only had to ask.
The view across the bay is stunning....particularly at sunset. I would definitely stay here again, I would like to thank the staff for their hard work and attention during our stay.
