On a hillside, a five-minute walk from Agios Stefanos beach, the Mykonian Mare is a sleek all-white boutique that offers jaw-dropping views of the Aegean Sea at every turn. The traditional Grecian architecture is offset by modern touches like chic pendant lighting and chunky wicker sun loungers. Fully revamped in 2014, the 38 guestrooms and suites are spacious and bathed in light, with sea-facing balconies and upscale Coco-Mat beds. Suites come with extras that include indoor or outdoor Jacuzzi tubs. In the evening, sip a glass of bubbly at the laid-back Sky Bar and dine on exquisite seafood at the property’s Mediterranean-style restaurant, Lakoya. Don’t leave without having an aromatherapy massage at the stunning alfresco spa.
In the Area
Ask at reception about excursions to mysterious Delos. Famous as the birthplace of the twin gods Apollo and Artemis, the island has been inhabited since the third millennium BC. Discover the Temple of Isis and the Avenue of Lions before finishing your tour at the Archaeological Museum, which is replete with ancient sculptures and brightly colored mosaics. In the evening hit the dance floor in Mykonos town, home to some of Europe’s hippest clubs and bars. Start with a sundowner in Little Venice, a charming district lined with medieval fisherman’s houses that are now chic bars, and finish up at Cavo Paradiso, an open-air club on a rocky bluff that boasts an oversize swimming pool, dance cabanas and big name DJs.
How to Get There
Very nice brunch and food very tasty but the service needs some improvement. Very nice view form the room excellent location only the guest relation should be more polite it was a little bit of aggressive
We had a terrific stay here at Myconian Mare. Firstly we had a great room with a hydrospa, steam room and a private pool.
The restaurant was terrific with a great vista of Mykonos and by Mykonos standard the food was adequately priced.
All of the staff here are absolutely wonderful and I would definitely come back !
The bed was super comfortable and pillows too, my little ones bed was also good for a growing body and not a flimsy mattress on the sofa either.
The cleaning staff did a great job every day too.
My only thoughts? A pool fence! I guess coming from Australia it’s mandatory and things are relaxed here but it’s no biggie. We will be back xx
Booked due to location. What a mistake. When checking in....didnt get the room we booked but allegedly given an upgrade. Room was smaller than originally booked and private pool hadn't been cleaned. Next day moved to originally booked room but Jacuzzi didn't drain, shower leaked and safe wouldn't work, all reported to front desk and nothing was rectified. Hotel claims "all a misunderstanding"....after 2 rooms, offered a 3rd room, a Tower Suite, best room in hotel....by this point just wanted to leave. Now hotel refusing to refund the stay, through supplier as we left 3 days early.
Our first visit to Mykonos was made perfect by our stay at the Mykonian Mare hotel!
We booked a Skyview room with an indoor Jacuzzi and were treated to a room with astounding views over the bay and the city. Lights and air conditioning were controlled by panels on the wall which worked perfectly. We had a slight issue with the shower which was sorted out by an engineer within an hour of reporting it. The room was bright, clean and spacious.
What really made our stay at the hotel perfect was the staff; Tassos on reception supported us throughout by tirelessly making arrangements and giving us city advice, Vasilis the bartender made amazing cocktails, George the driver ferried us to and from the city and even helped us to buy some cheap luggage from a local shop, Dimitris on service was very polite and precise, beautiful Sandy the barista made delicious cappuccinos always with a sunflower smile and Katerina the guest relations manager delivered on all her promises!
Me and my friend stayed here, this hotel is one of the most nicest staffed hotel I have ever stayed in, the staff are so friendly and helpful even to the point they exchange their phone numbers with you in case you need them even whilst you are out of the hotel. They give you personal service, take care of any bookings you need without any hesitation.breakfast is amazing, fresh fruits, a choice of hot and cold buffet. I would refer anyone to stay here. Very good value for money, clean rooms. Thank you to all the reception staff especially guest relations Katerina and our driver George.
