A truly amazing hotel

If you want to enjoy a personal and intimate boutique hotel, Kensho Ornos is definitely top of the list. This was our second visit to Kensho and it was even more special than we remembered. We are planning to return for a third year in 2020. The service is first class and the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure everything was taken care off with no fuss, even when we staggered home at 3am the staff were there to great us with a smile and a drink. This is why Kensho won the Greece Boutique Hotel of the year award for 2018. The property is stunning, location is excellent and food(especially breakfast) is amazing. The rooms are really nice and this time we had a hot tub and used it every day. Finally, for me the hotel shuttle service is superb. A fleet of Range Rovers, BMW’s and Mini buses are available for a modest cost to take you and pick you up we’re ever you want to go, at any time. No need to wait for overpriced taxis. Thank you Kensho. See you next year. Paul Hilburn

Astounding in every possible way

From the moment we were greeted at the airport by Alex, and the moment we walked through the door of this beautiful boutique hotel as guests and met by Evangelos, we knew we were in for a treat. We checked in with minimal fuss and, after a room change, which was down to us (my wife!) not liking the location, we were shown around the hotel, and all the facilities which are on offer.

The hotel is clean, modern, bright and has an air of peace about it. There is a pool area and bar, with a little lounge, a restaurant and an upstairs seating area with another pool, with stunning views over the village and sea.

The suite we stayed in was huge, with our own private hot tub on the large balcony. There was plenty of wardrobe space, a large shower and bath, a big bed facing the balcony and was spotlessly clean. I cannot emphasise enough how clean this whole property is. There seemed to be people constantly cleaning and wiping. There is evident pride in how the property is presented to their guests.

Everyone we passed always took time to say hello and to check we were ok, making sure we had everything we needed. Even the manager would always stop to say hi whenever we saw him, and we saw him a lot, he was very hands on and always, always smiling. Everyone seemed more than happy to help with any query we had, nothing was a problem. Every time we bumped into Evangelos, he would stop to check on us, see if we needed anything, make sure we were enjoying ourselves, which we were, immensely! This is the first time we have been to a boutique hotel, and spent nearly all our time in the hotel. We did not want to leave! We made a couple of visits into the village, but we were never gone for long.

Breakfast is impressive, with a buffet of cold cuts, fruit, local delicacies and a hot counter, with coffees, fresh juices and water on offer too. I can’t list everyone, but Athanasia (I hope I have spelled that right) Elena and Fotis made sure we were taken care of. The ladies always took time for a quick catch up in the morning, they are so lovely.

Lunch/dinner in the restaurant was delicious, classic dishes with their own twist, and very tasty indeed. Definitely worth a visit, even if you are not a guest here.

In the evening, we were treated to some of the best cocktails you could ever hope to taste. Panos is a genius, there is nothing he doesn’t know about the impressive range of spirits that they have, and no matter what cocktail we asked him if he could make, he always said “sure!” The cocktail menu doesn’t do him justice, as he literally can make anything you ask for, to perfection, and if you don’t know what you want to drink, he will! Don’t believe me? Try it and see!!

We also spent a few hours in the spa, which again, was very peaceful, clean, spacious and we did not feel rushed at all. I think we spent around 3 hours in there enjoying all the facilities and we had a massage too.

The staff behave as family, rather than colleagues, and their camaraderie is infectious, and after our very quick week had ended, it was time to go, and we may have entered as guests, but we left as family.

We were genuinely sad to leave, and some of the staff actually looked gutted that we were leaving too. Again, there are too many people to mention, but thank you to everyone who made our stay absolutely magical. I hope we can make it back there soon, thank you so much.

If you are thinking of visiting Mykonos, do not look any further than this beautiful property with its awesome, friendly staff, you will not be disappointed.

From the minute I was greeted at the front desk, to the bell hops that helped deliver bags to room, offered me water before I could even ask. The hotel is stunning, i stayed in three other 5 star hotels on the island and I must say this was the best. The restaurant I dined for dinner and it was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel and a easy walk into the village.

Hey Kenshooooooooo what an unbelievable unique experience.

Where to start from?
Amazing location, great beach(ornos beach), many things to do in the area.
The rooms are crystal clear, the furnishings are unique each with its own history, the breakfast meal is delightful. During the check-in, Gio(the guy with the beard) suggested us to take some lunch as long as our room was prepared and suggested a dish from the menu, it was the most delicious I have ever eat. Spinach pie salad! By the way, Gio was unbelievable at the front desk, he also had two beautiful girls as trainees next to him, who would certainly learn a lot behind him. He was always willing to help us and made everything to the reception, assisting everyone for everything, always smiling. OMG. A REAL LEADER !!
While we were waiting our car to the airport i was present to dialogue that Gio had with some other guests, the young trainee was terribly excited about the way he handled and explained thing, she was really excited with him.
Also, Christos helped us a lot with our restaurant reservations, Anna-Maria gets the job done very well in the breakfast service. you are glad to see her in the morning saying jokes. Drivers were very friendly. Apostolos the Manager really great person..

Thank you guys for making our holidays unforgettable. We will definitely come back..
