Incredible - nothing will compare to this

This is one of those places that ruin hotels for you forever. Every detail is perfect. We were lucky enough to book just before peak season and received a free upgrade to a room with a private pool. Upgrades are always fun but we weren’t prepared for the quality of the room and hotel in general. It was absolute WOW factor for every moment spent in this place - the room, the private pool, the food, the communal pool, everything has been created beautifully and every detail has been accounted for and clearly polished to perfection. Unfortunately since we stayed, prices have shot up (for good reason) so we may not be able to afford to stay there again! I did splash out for my best friend as an engagement present and she was equally overwhelmed. If you can afford to stay here, please do, there is no place like it in the world.

Pleasant stay, but nothing special

This is a gorgeous property, but I would not say it's a must do.
We booked pretty shortly before our trip to Mykonos, so a lot of places were already full. We settled on Kensho after seeing photos online. It is a beautifully designed space in the typical style of hotels in the Greek islands. It is completely white with very spacious rooms. The location is a bit odd - the hotel's views are just of a dry landscape littered with trash.
We booked a room with a hot tub outside and I was a bit disappointed because it did not seem too clean. Initially the hot tub did not work, so we had to call maintenance twice to fix it. First one man came in and looked at the hot tub, then he called in another and another so we had people coming in and out of our room.
We were upgraded to a larger suite for the last day of our stay and were told every room is designed by a different interior designer. I was excited to see how this room would differ but it looked about the same. In fact, I don't think it was noticeably bigger. The only difference was that this room had a small pool instead of a hot tub.
The food was the main positive of this hotel. It was GREAT! I would even go so far as to say it was on par with a lot of the ultra-popular restaurants on the island, like Scorpios or Principote. The drinks were amazing as well.
The service was pretty good. The airline lost my luggage on the way to Mykonos and they reassured me it was very common. They called the airline every day and pressed them for information on my bags. In the end, I would get my bags the day I left (we stayed there 4 days), which was a bit of a shame. However, I was still impressed they managed to find it at all. Our driver who took us to different restaurants was very fun as well.
All in all, it was a very nice stay - the food was great and our rooms were quite large and stylish. At the same time something seemed a bit off, which makes me hesitant to rate this hotel 5 stars.

Delightful Boutique hotel experience.

The really is an eye opener as to how the other half lives. This hotel oozes quality and luxury. We were treated like royalty from the day we arrived to the very last day. Nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were beautiful and exceeded our expectations. the hotels staff moved us half way through the week to an even better room with our own private small pool. The hotel pool was small but just big enough and we had to be smart about grabbing a lounger. we had a long singer on the Sunday night and she was fantastic. The food we had at the hotel was to a very high standard and comparable in price to other restaurants on the Ornos Beach, Mykanos town is idyllic and very expensive. I would say that this island is not for the poor or budget traveller.
I would love to go again; definitely for the romantic... there were some children there, but mainly couples.

Honeymoon Stay

We stayed at Kensho after the most amazing stay in Santorini, so to be fair they had a lot to live up to.

The hotel itself is stunning as are the facilities. The breakfast was the best we have ever had a hotel, prosecco was even included. However what lets this hotel down is the staff. After staying at a 4* hotel in Santorini with the most attentive staff we were really expecting more from the staff at Kensho. We had emailed the hotel before hand to let them know we were coming on our honeymoon and request for a seaview room which we never got. Also the hotel really needs to look at its complimentary transport bookings. We had booked the last transfer home from Mykonos town when the driver arrived people started to get into the car who did not have bookings so were left waiting around for the driver to return with another couple of people who had also booked. When we eventually got back to the hotel the couple who were on the same transfers were offered complimentary drinks sent to their room... this left a really bad taste in our mouths that the hotel were treating other paying guests differently, especially when we were on our honeymoon.

Kensho is a stunning hotel with lots of potential but lack of attention to detail from the staff really let down our stay unfortunately after we were really looking forward to staying here for our honeymoon.

A Lovely Hotel but a bit over-designed

This hotel is located a short walk to the town of Ornos. During the high season, Ornos is probably a great place to stay but when the crowds have gone away, as they did in October when we were there, staying in Mykonos town is the better choice, since it's 15 minutes away and we had our dinners there.
This hotel is very comfortable. The bed was great and we had a hot tub outside our door. We found that the room, while pretty, wasn't as functional as we would like. The chairs weren't comfortable; the bathroom was part of the bedroom and if there was no privacy when showering or brushing your teeth. This doesn't work well when one person gets up earlier than the other. The sinks are enormous but there's almost no counter space to put toiletries. It all looked good, but it was dysfunctional.
Great breakfast---one of the best I've had, and excellent, helpful staff.
