We’re not usually ones to follow the crowds, but when it comes to Mykonos, we’ll make an exception. Greece’s Cycladic hot spot deserves its popular reputation, thanks to its iconic whitewashed towns, sandy beaches and must-see sunsets. Boasting its own Blue Flag beach just minutes from its front door, Dionysos Boutique Hotel Mykonos is a lovely four-star retreat that takes its name – and its commitment to hospitality – from the Ancient Greek god of revelry.
Kick back island-style in cool white lounges made for cocktail sipping and in comfortable, cream-colored rooms, just moments from Ornos Beach. Back to that Greek hospitality, you’ll enjoy delicious al-fresco breakfasts each morning, too. This is just one of the highlights here, alongside two outdoor pools, an outdoor Jacuzzi and a fully equipped fitness center. And don’t forget the wine – after all, Dionysos was also the Greek god of wine…
Rooms here are bright and welcoming, thanks to elegant white décor and high-end furnishings. Premium Pool View rooms provide 270 square feet of space and lovely views of the pool, while Deluxe Sea View rooms are a bit larger, at 290 square feet, and feature impressive sea views. Both room types can be configured with one king and one single bed, or three single beds.
At just 164 feet from the Blue Flag-awarded Ornos Beach, Dionysos Boutique Hotel Mykonos is perfectly placed for sunbathing. From this sheltered bay, where sailing boats drop anchor at night, you can also catch a taxi-boat shuttle to the south-coast beaches of Paradise and Super Paradise. Regular buses can also connect you to Mykonos Town.
How to Get There
The staff is very friendly and helpful, large welcoming lobby by the pool. The rooms are spacious and the beds big and comfortable. The location is quite central, 5 min. drive from the town, and 3 min. drive from psarou beach and nammos. 5 min. walk from ornos beach.
Stayed here at the beginning of October- end of season. Arrived at the hotel and first impressions were small but nice and relaxing feel. Staff were helpful and got taken to our room by a lady that just couldn't wait to get away. We booked the day before as our holiday got cancelled due to airline going bust and so they didn't seem ready for us, we booked a superior double room and got two single beds pushed together, each with their own doublets. The room itself was nice and white with limited furniture, to had the odd English programme from time to time,Our room door rattled alnight and will the midnight noise going on in reception every night it was hard to get a full good night sleep.the bathroom looked like it had just been done up but the shower took half an hour of constant running to get warm.
Breakfast was okay but no toaster and had very limited hot food.
Room was always lovely and clean by the daily maid who made our beds and changed our towels for new ones which was nice, however the floor always looked clean but my feet by walking about on it were dark black.
The swimming pool area was nice but not as nice as the pictures on line, all of the beds were bean bags except for two and they were all dirty and stained, the pool had a yellow mark on the rim and there wasn't much shade out there if wanted. We were bait gutted as there was no one there ever and has no atmosphere, the bar guy just sat on his phone all day and just look up at you and take your order whilst still slumped there on his phone and the bar lights were turned off, they only just turned some music on 4 days into our holiday and looked like they were cleaning about looking busy again.
Location was near beach and some very nice, mostly overpriced cafe/restaurants and has supermarkets/bakeries just down the road.
There isn't much more on the island other than the boat trip to Delos (island of ruins and history) and the main old harbour town lovely to have a walk through and see the windmills and little streets (shops are high end fashion and souvenir shops,)
Not sure if it was because it was near the end of the season but it felt like the people of the island were fed up and couldn't be asked anymore with tourists and were grumpy and unprofessional.
Nearby restaurants however were the best service and food there- rustic grill, kastantis.
Lovely little hotel. Quiet, comfortable and clean, Hotel Dionysos is a short walk to Ornos Beach, where there's plenty of food to be found.
Rooms are nice and well maintained, and in little villas of distinctive white stone.
Nice pool, and plenty of places to lounge and relax.
Staff are friendly too, and quite helpful.
Nice place to consider if you're going to Mykonos.
The staff of the hotel is very familiar with the guests, rooms are renovated & clean. 2 minutes walking distance from the beach. rates are very suitable & cheap compairing with another 4* hotels in Mykonos.
-Walking distance to a great beach (Ornos) and restaurants
-Breakfast included (Eggs, Sausage, Greek yogurt, fruit, bread, sparkling water, cucumber/lemon infused water, etc.)
-WiFi seems to work the best in the hotel lobby or near the pool rather than in the rooms
-Broken shower head & Broken flush button for the toilet
-2 beds pushed together is considered a queen room
-Photos online didn't seem to match the room we booked
-Hotel shuttle to Mykonos Town is 20 Euros. With Chora/Mykonos Town being about 2-3 miles away, it's probably best to just take the bus from Ornos Beach for 1.80 Euro.
-Fitness center is currently under renovation. If you are booking this hotel with a hotel gym in mind just ask them when it will be complete.
-Family run business
