Set in the heart of Argentina’s wine country, this contemporary sleep caters to business travelers (the hotel’s meeting center is one of the country’s largest) but with vacation-friendly amenities, too. The 180 modern guest rooms and suites overlook the city or the mountains and feature standard mod cons like flat screen TVs, work desks and mini bars. A spa with an indoor lap pool and state-of-the-art gym make it easy to stay active during the day, while the onsite casino offers entertainment in the evening. When hunger strikes, upscale Olivas Restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine as well as topnotch Argentinian meat. Or, take advantage of 24/7 room service for a meal delivered to your door.
In the Area
Get an overview of Argentina’s famous wines at the tasting room at Vines of Mendoza. Opt for a flight of Malbec and, if you like what you’ve tasted, you can even purchase a piece of land on the vineyard that will be overseen by their agronomist. Spend an afternoon exploring Parque General San Martin, the city’s largest park with 865 acres of scenic walkways, a zoo and the National Science Museum. Adventurers should also opt for a day of rafting in the Andes with Argentina Rafting—the company also offers horseback riding, zip lining and more.
How to Get There
We booked a room to spend our first night in Mendoza, as it was close to both airport and downtown area. The bad point is that we had to pay for the parking of our rented car as an extra -which is a small amount of money but should be included in their room service fee.
The room was comfy, but lacked a electric kettle and in room coffee, tea.
The dining area on the ground floor was great, it had gluten free options. Pool area was good, and breakfast included Gluten free dishes.
Overall, the service and warmth of staff was very good.
Check in is 3 PM so take it into account if you arrive early. We left our luggage on hold until we took the room.
This was a great hotel for us, Great staff, great view of the city and the Andes, great included breakfasts, wonderful service. We stayed here for several days and really enjoyed it. Parking for our rental car was free in the parking lot outside the mall entrance (right next to the hotel), where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, And it is not far from the city center; about a 15 minute drive on the highway next door. Highly recommended.
I stayed at Intercontinental Mendoza this week, from 14th until 17th of July. I am reviewing because I had some problems with this accommodation.
I am marketing director from a company, and I do appreciate when my clients talk to me about good and specially bad things. I hope this review can be read by someone that will do something.
When I arrived at the hotel at 9:00 in the morning the room was not ready yet. So I have just checked if my reservation was ok and I realised that I booked two single beds instead of just one (for me and my wife). So I asked them to change and they accepted. I do know Its not right to check before 12:00, but sometimes when the hotel have room available, its normal to enter the room earlier.
The problem was that I just entered in to the room at 17:00 o clock. Yes, only 17:00 o clock!!! I was very tired after big trip and to keep me waiting until this time its was not fare. This trip was supposed to be my second (honey moon) but start to be a disaster.
As soon as I arrived at the room, I have checked the bathroom and the shower area looks like very poor hostel place. I took a picture (its attached in this review) . Please have a look on this. I am not a sophisticated person to stay only in luxury places, but when you book a room with 9.2 evaluation and 4 stars for a big international company, you don’t expect to find something like this. I was very frustrated from the waiting time, and after this bathroom I was annoyed and disappointed.
Because I was so tired, I didn’t want to ask again for another room and wait longer… So next day I went early to visit Mendoza, the mountains and wineries. And I want to thank you for your concierge Alessandro. He was so kind and very nice guy, and helped us to find good spots over there.
After coming back from long day, they changed my bed sheet. And for a big surprise the sheet was black (of dirty). I thought this was a joke, honestly
I really had great moment at this incredible city, but not from this hotel. I hope I will never stay there again. I travel at least 8 up to 10 different countries every year for work, I stay at different hotels and never had such a bad experience from the money I payed here.
The opposite situation that I had at Buenos Aires, I booked I night before because my flight had connection at Buenos Aires. I stayed one night at this really cool hotel CASA SUR BELLINI HOTEL. Honestly, the way they treated us, and the experience I had there, it was incredible. The opposite situation from Mendoza.
I hope this review can help the next victim.
