How to Get There
We enoyed the VM party in the street from the rooms - great view - very nice. We had connecting rooms. One of the rooms was very nice the other in serious need of more refurbish than paint. The hotel had a spa but it wad very diffucult to use. We needed to book in advance and no children allowed. I think you need to make a notice about this when you recieve family bookings. The hotel had a nice lounge area in the garden. The breakfast was all right. But need improvements to be among the best mgallerys. The staff all over was very friendly and helpful.
We stayed two nights in this hotel as part of a 6-day bike trip with VBT. The hotel was beautiful and our room was quite comfortable. The only nit-pick was the shower: a typical European-style, hand-held shower head.
The location was fantastic: at the end of rue de la Liberte, near the Arch. Everything we wanted to see and do was within easy walking distance, and there is a lovely park across the street.
Each day, we enjoyed late-afternoon drinks (and little nibbles they serve with drinks) in the beautiful outdoor courtyard area. The service was fantastic! Breakfast each morning was plentiful, fresh and never crowded.
I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Dijon.
We went to Dijon, caputal of Burgundy region, to join a wine tasting tour. Our hotel is very close to the train station, an area of very basic offering in terms of restaurant. Then we walk past The Grand Hotel and discovered this restaurant La Cloche and gave us a treat. The Charolaise beef, those white cows roaming the countryside, was grilled to just perfection, top with thick herb butter. The dessert is not too sweet and had an artistic presentation. But those famous oeuf en meurette, eggs poached in Burgundy style in red wine was only so so. However La Cloche's version is far superior than other restaurants'.
We stayed here for a couple of days once we had finished a river cruise that we did. An excellent Hotel and only a short walk from the station The Hotel is situated within walking distance to most sites. You can follow the owl trail to find your way around. These a little owls are in the pavements and go all around the various sites in Nice. The room was quite big with breakfast included and looked out over the Main Street.
We really enjoyed our visit to this hotel the disabled room was well laid out, plenty of room to get around and a roll in shower with a seat.
We ate in the restaurant, the food was excellent. The only negative is the price of drinks in the bar
