How to Get There
My wife and I stayed at Casa Chameleon in Las Catalinas, Costa Rica. The five star experience started the moment we arrived and lasted until the moment we left. The resort is secluded, private, intimate and peaceful.
You don’t need to go anywhere as Casa Chameleon simply has the best of everything. They even had the massage service come to our villa to provide a couples massage on the patio.
Sentido Norte had a unique special on the menu every night. The ceviche and patacones were our favorite appetizers. My wife enjoyed a plethora of margaritas with some on the rocks and some blended. The bartenders Ariel, Alexander and Rolvin would make any fresh fruit flavored margarita you could think of! Elquin usually hosted us most evenings and made our dining experience an enjoy full experience every night. On Tuesday night there was a saxophone player at dinner. No joke, he was the BEST. Legendary.
The infinity pool is phenomenal. Photos won’t prove how incredible this place truly is. If you like to have day drinks poolside, this is the greatest place on earth to do so. Our pool server Franklin was extremely courteous and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The resort is intimate so no need to stress about not getting a cabana or lounge chair poolside. There is a spot for everyone.
The sun sets around 5:20 and it is MUST SEE every evening. Arrive early and grab a seat along with a drinks and appetizers.
Eduardo and Paola provided us with any and all the information we needed and made sure we were having an experience of a life-time throughout our stay. They did their job and then some.
Casa Chameleon has a special place in our hearts. The memories are unforgettable. We cannot recommend this place enough. Make sure to visit Casa Chameleon before it gets too popular. If you’re contemplating this place or another, save yourself the trouble, Casa Chameleon is the better place to visit. PURA VIDA!
Casa Chameleon is a top notch resort; highly recommend. The service was impeccable and attention to detail is next level. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. We went with the intent of relaxation and it did not disappoint. We had a sunset facing villa and the views are out of this world; better than the pictures do justice. The room itself was modern and well appointed; had everything you need, including a waterfall-style shower with a direct view of the ocean and private plunge pool. The pool/restaurant area offered more incredible views and the food/service was great. We actually dined there all 5 nights and did not get sick of the food. That being said, there is a beach restaurant in town (Las Catalinas) and further options a short drive away (highly recommend Surf Box in Playa Flamingo). There is also a network of trails surrounding the property. We did one of the shorter hikes, however, there were longer ones to explore. The beach is a short walk/golf cart away and there is a company called Pura Vida Ride that rents out paddlebloards, kayaks, etc. The beach itself is a good spot to relax; not too crowded. The town of Las Catalinas is still under construction, so not a lot to do there quite yet. That being said, the architecture is beautiful and it looks to be a well planned development for the future. One comment is that a facility of this quality should have a fitness centre, however, the free daily yoga is a bonus.
This property is as beautiful as all of the pictures you see and it completely lived up to the hype. There are a lot of great employees, but Paola at the front desk truly made our trip special. She goes out of her way to make you feel special!
If you are looking for a place to disconnect and unwind then this is your place! We had large suite overlooking the Pacific Ocean and it was absolutely stunning.
