UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL!!

I cannot say enough good things about Casa Chameleon Las Catalinas! A friend and I stayed in an Ocean View Villa and could not believe how insanely gorgeous it was. The views we woke up to every day were simply breathtaking and to enjoy it from our own private plunge pool was unreal! That alone would have made the trip, but the staff was so incredibly friendly, helpful and warm that we just didn't want to leave. And the food was fantastic! And our yoga class was awesome! And they helped us book the most awesome activities! I seriously can't rave enough about this place. Special shout-out to Eduardo and Mariela who made us feel like family! Pura Vida!

The most amazing international experience.

Our stay at Casa Chameleon at Las Catalinas hit every single mark of a 5* experience we could hope for. Not only did the location and landscapes amaze, the room surpass expectations, the food be more exceptionally delicious than any other cuisine we tried in Costa Rica, but the staff more than anything made the stay memorable in the best of ways.

First, the location: It's absolutely stunning. The small little cove Las Catalinas sits on is very secluded and uninterrupted by commercialism. Trees block most of the view of roads and buildings, and each room has a private inifinity pool overlooking the various coves and parts of the ocean. For us, we had a prime spot for seeing the sunsets over the edge of the coastal mountains with no obstruction from any wildlife or other buildings.

The room itself was clean, cool (which is important in the humid heat of Costa Rica) and comfortable. Even though there were large mosquito nets for the beds, they didn't need to be used during the time of year we were there. Wildlife was abundant, but uninterrupted. All in all, we decided this was the place for us to go back to next time we come to Costa Rica.

The food: Quite surprisingly, I judge food based on reviews, menu descriptions and pictures. I was not terribly impressed with the food choices at Casa Chameleon, and opted for other restaurants in some of the closer (40-80km away) towns for the duration of our trip. The first night we were here, all of that changed. The food is absolutely phenomenal, and the best food we've had here in Costa Rica. Even if you don't stay here, I highly recommend checking out the resort restaurant or bar. The options are amazing.

Lastly, the staff. Paola helped make the trip happen, and her suggestions and personable service in our first few minutes set a high bar. The attention to detail and remembering of tiny, minute requests we had set the stage for a phenomenal experience. Sergio (the manager) was always attentive and pleasant, while Willen and the rest of the front concierge had such great attitudes and demeanor that it made us want to stay in the resort rather than travel around.

Our restaurant experiences in the morning were generally taken care of by Erick, who listened to my desires the first few days, and designed a special breakfast for me on our final day together as a memorable experience. Franklin at night has to be the most attentive and pleasant server I've ever had in my life, and coming from the food service industry at one point in my career, is saying something great. At one point, I asked him if I could get a flower for my girlfriend, and he left the restaurant to pick flowers for me, coming back with a beautiful bouquet.

There is no way to rank higher than 5 stars. If I could, I would. We will be back, and we will send all we know to check out Casa Chameleon.

50th Birthday Festivity!!

What can I say about Casa Chameleon? It's freaking awesome! Paola, the hotel manager made our stay very special. We can't give her enough kudos. The hotel staff treated us like family. The check in was first class with the cold hand towels and special drinks. Leaving the reception area is when the WOW factor hits you. The view is breath taking. You have the best views wherever you are, in your villa, the beautiful infinity pool, the bar or the restaurant. We were in the Flamingo Villa and had a private pool. The room is gorgeous and again, very private. Our first night, we had the couples massage in our room. Best massage we've had in Costa Rica. We were so relaxed that we stayed in our beautiful room and ordered room service. By the way, the food that we ate over our stay was so tasty. My compliments to the executive chef! He made me an off the menu chicken soup from scratch that first night which I really appreciated. The hotel manager also scheduled a catamaran day trip which was fantastic. When we got back to our room, there was a birthday banner, ballon and cake which made me feel very special. What else can I say, if you are looking for an adults only hotel where you can relax and get pampered, Casa Chameleon Hotel at Las Catalinas is the place to go.
