What We Love

  • Laid-back lunch in the beachside Cappuccino restaurant
  • RedLevel rooms include access to the lounge for breakfast, drinks, canapés and butler service
  • Shopping in exclusive stores in Puerto Banús, then sitting at a café to watch the celebrity crowd drift by
  • Snorkeling, water-skiing and other water activities, from the beach
  • Lounging atop a vast, canopied poolside Bali daybed

What To Know

  • Calima, the hotel’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant, tends to be fully booked, especially on weekends; make a reservation when you book your room
  • You might find the poolside Bali beds a bit expensive (about $140 per day) — if so, pick a lawn sun lounger or head for the beach
  • WiFi is free
  • If you’re renting a car for the transfer, parking is available on-site for a cost of $15 per day

Always excellent experience

We have visited on six occasions. The five star service of the hotel is always consistent. Check in is efficient, the rooms are newly decorated in Modern themes, the toiletries are Clarins, the rooms are serviced twice daily and are spotlessly cleaned, the hotel commands the best position on the coast, and the service from the staff is professional and courteous. The staff take pride in their hotel and do their best to assist and help their guests in a friendly manner and nothing is too much trouble for them. The Red Level has been extended and refurbished with drinks and snacks available all day. It’s a great place to relax. The staff here are superb, with special thanks to Carmen and of course the guest services are run efficiently by Abel who keeps a constant watch in things to ensure all guests are happy. The hotel generally is furnished in an elegant style and the gardens are well maintained as is the gym and the pool areas. Highly recommend. Especially Red Level.Thank you to all.

From the minute we arrived we were amazed at the genuine friendly welcome from all staff- from security, concierge, reception etc. This continued throughout our stay.
Room was clean, well appointed and a great sea view.
Breakfast was excellent with all the usual items plus a chef on hand for eggs to order.
Again first class friendly service from all restaurant staff. We loved the location and did not need a car to get into Marbella or the port -just use the promenade and walk!
We ate at Tahini , the Japanese restaurant in the grounds of the hotel - really good and again the high level of friendly service continued.
We would definitely stay here again for a winter break - one small request, lose the scent in reception! I presume Clarins, who run the hotel spa, provide it but its too much !

Fantastic hotel highly recommended will be back !

We spent 5 days at this lovely hotel and stayed in the red level, the whole experience was lovely , the check in , room with a fabulous view , food, everything was first class.
Perfect location within a stroll to Marbella with some nice beach bars restaurants along the way, we also walked to Puerto Banús (just around an hour!) The staff who looked after us Carmen and Irene in the Red level were great and recommended some fab local Tapas restaurants in town. We were lucky to have beautiful weather during our stay and actually sat by the pool and were looked after by the staff there also.
Our room was spotless, lovely bathroom/shower area and the balcony was in full sun.
We have stayed in many Meliá properties this one is our favourite to date and we will be returning soon !!

Will definately return

We stayed for five days in early January and loved the hotel, staff, food and facilities.
Great location on beach and walking distance/short taxi to Marbella old town or Banus.
Immaculately clean inside and out with gorgeous gardens and areas to sit outside, with modern and and comfortable sofas etc.
Our teenagers loved the gym and heated pool and the food .
We loved the hot chocolate, rioja, comfortable beds and balcony overlooking the sea.
Every single member of staff seemed to take great pride in their hotel and were so friendly and attentive.
Fantastic break in the sun - will try Clarins Spa next time.
