Fantastic location, they seem to be figuring things out still

This is a beautiful setting, away from the chaos of Lloret de Mar. The outdoor patio overlooking the pool and with views to the sea is great. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, and the attached restaurant which is run as a separate business is FANTASTIC (try the tasting menu, explore the wine list). I could not open my room's window and the air conditioning seemed to keep shutting itself off every few hours, but this was not a huge issue (just a slight annoyance). At times, it felt the staff didn't know what to do -- suggesting it's "not allowed" that we eat our breakfast outside instead of in a less comfortable indoor dining area, or what to charge for the advertised laundry service (they came up with a fair price after some work). The pool is lovely and relaxing.

The biggest change I would suggest is the breakfast. It is very basic food and the quality is not very good. For 15 Euros per person it is NOT worth it, but other options are a few kilometers away, so there is no convenient alternative. Additionally, the dining area where it is served is a poor choice compared to a small outdoor patio with a pergola just around the corner, with views and nice breeze blowing -- the patio is lovely. The music in the breakfast area should also be changed -- it is not Spanish, and at times just seems silly (example: a jazz version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" being played in July). If I am in the area again, I would definitely stay here again, perhaps next year if our group comes to the area again.

Completely understand why this is rated the most romantic hotel in the area! We lazed about on our private terrace with jacuzzi and mountain views. Room Maria Callas is a dream. Service top and Spa massage lovely. Thank you abd hope to return next year!

Lovely building and location, however I was expecting the Wow factor!

Stayed here for 1 night. We had a room in the basement which was just a little disappointing to what I was expecting from when we turned up as the building looked amazing.
Firstly..the room was immaculately clean and pleasant, however for the price we paid I felt it didn’t meet up to our expectations ..
The welcome letter was addressed to someone else ( maybe the previous guest), we wanted to order a bottle of wine in our room but there was no information in the room about room service etc etc so we didn’t order one. There was no information in the room for the WiFi password...i tried to phone reception...no answer...so I walked up to reception..however the man on reception didn’t have a clue what the WiFi password was..however he kindly brought it to our room 15 minutes later and the signal when we got it was very weak.. In the meantime, I had a shower and the handset broke off the wall in my hand so for the rest of the stay We rinsed under the bath tap because the taps were annoyingly complicated and we couldn’t work them ( don’t laugh as there were no instructions on them!!). There was no tea or coffee making facilities, no complimentary water... low quality furniture in the room and not enough of it. The jacuzzi bath on the patio was a real treat, however it took 35-45 minutes to fill and there was only one privacy screen ( giving you privacy only directly to your neighbour) and no privacy to the garden which was not a private garden. Would have been nice to have extra towels by the jacuzzi bath..so had to use previous wet ones we had used earlier. We arrived at breakfast at 10.45am ( a little late I suppose) however the warmers for the food had been turned off..so the scrambled egg, sausages and bacon were stone cold. 😏..oh and breakfast wasn’t included in the £250 room charge but we were charged €3> for a bottle of water out of the mini bar. It would have been lovley to have a little information in the room about th history of the hotel etc.
I really don’t want to be negative about this hotel as it could be a fantastic stay if all of the little bits didn’t add up. If I would have paid £80 for this room, I would have been happier however at £250 I was not and didn’t feel that it was worth it sorry. The staff however were very pleasant and courteous.

Beautiful experience

Our stay has been wonderful. It's a really wonderful place, amazing... We would have liked to stay longer.
The hotel and the treatment, fantastic. Decorated with very good taste and very pleasant and attentive staff. As we are from Dublin and we didn’t know the place, they informed us very well before the arrival and when we arrived, to feel comfortable in our environment, so great.
We had a very nice and complete room. Excellent decoration, very comfortable and spacious bed and a very beautiful bathroom. We were able to enjoy a fantastic and very complete breakfast in the room.
The Spa a very nice area where you can enjoy peace.
It has a privileged environment to get away. It has magnificent gardens and very well maintenance. We really like nature, and luckily we had very good weather and we enjoyed it a lot.
We will repeat the experience, very appealing.

Beautiful hotel in amazing location

Really gorgeous hotel in a magnificent natural setting - it was such an occasion to drive into the property. The staff are very friendly but as we came just before the summer rush we had to constantly "look" for service. The highlight was the restaurant L'India - inventive, delicious meals not overly complicated or too clever where you don't recognize what you're eating! Could do more to engage the guests to enjoy the hotel more e.g.offer drinks on the lovely front porch to watch the sunset. All possible but you had to ask rather than being offered - maybe different during the high summer months. Only one brickbat - WiFi is patchy, dependent on where your room is located.Still a very good stay in a gorgeous hotel in an extraordinary setting. Would recommend the splurge.
