How to Get There
We booked The Beach because it looked like our kind of hotel. The positives are friendly staff in all areas from reception to bar to restaurant alike. Lovely clean and nicely decorated rooms with lovely bathrooms and good powerful showers. I needed an iron as I’d packed in a hurry so I emailed the day before to check they had one. They promptly replied to say they have lots of irons and they would put one in my room ready for my arrival, perfect!
Breakfast is good, a small buffet table with juices, croissants, toaster and jams. You then pick from a menu of things like smoked salmon and poached egg on rye, kippers, porridge or a full English. The salmon was very nice and the porridge had a nice dollop of clotted cream on top, lovely.
Location: perfect. Looking down to the sea and the green coastline. Great for walking. The only reason there’s no 5 is because the room was so hot I just couldn’t cool down even with the fan on and for women of a certain age that’s an issue! Lovely hotel though.
Fabulous food, lovely atmosphere. The service was great, attentive but not over bearing. We were given a table right by the window overlooking the beach which was perfect. The food was delicious, especially the main courses, I had the beef brisket and my husband had fillet steak, both were perfectly cooked. The wine was also very nice and reasonably priced (Malbec). Would definitely recommend.
The Beach at Bude really is a great find.... modern contemporary rooms, excellent food, great breakfast, and some fantastic views of the bay
Customer service from the front reception couldn't be more helpful
We will definitely be back!
We came for dinner last Saturday night and everything was spot on. The food was amazing and the staff were really nice. The waitresses made sure we had everything we needed and the bar tenders made great cocktails. Espresso martinis were very good!
I love staying at this hotel. Had been here 1st in 2016 only with my husband and i was not sure about staying at The Beach with kids. I was quite happy to realize that they have suites which are big enough to accommodate a family of 4. We loved everything about our stay. The only downside was that there are no toilets upstairs and that meant going downstairs in the wee hours to take my small daughter for an early morning wee break.
