How to Get There
We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times before and nevertheless been disappointed. Our last stay was around 14mths ago. Staying for a weekend we were amazed at how good the food was. Whilst it has always been good this time it seemed to be at a very high level, for which you would pay a lot of money to get this quality in the London area.
As always the staff were wonderful, indeed everyone we spoke to seemed to really enjoy working at the hotel. Rooms as clean and comfortable as always.
Lovely weekend at the beach hotel .The rooms are beautiful fitted out with everything you could need. The restaurant is by far the best in Bude The staff are full of smiles and give excellent service.Thankyou we will be back
Gone down hill since I was last here!
The start, Oxtail, was so salty it could not be eaten. The scollops were however delightful and got them a star. We had to send the burger back as it was totally raw. They didn’t even give us a drink for the error. They also did not offer to keep the other meal warm while the re-cooked the burger. No good at all for a £65 meal.
You'd expect by now that The Beach would have slipped a little. After all its been going for a little, so some of the shine should have gone off the place. We often have a drink on the deck, but for no good reason we have not eaten there for a couple of years. The meal back then was excellent and the meal last Friday did not disappoint but what stood out was the service. The restaurant wasn't packed, but easily busy enough and certainly I have eaten in places with twice the number of staff on hand and half the efficiency, good humour and all round effort to please, which was evident among the team at the Bude. My experience is that it is this aspect of a restaurant/hotel that slips first, followed quickly by the standard of food and the decor. Well, there's no sign of that happening at The Beach. Well done to all.
Spacious and quiet room with large bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from restaurant and bar with great breakfast and dinner options. Complimentary bottle of prosecco on arrival is a nice touch.
