How to Get There
While staying near Bude we booked to have lunch here on our last day and it was perfect - the food, the service and the setting all amazing. We chose the set lunch deal, which was great value for money. Will definitely be returning - thank you!
Lunched & dined here but never stayed, so treated hubby whilst a special deal was on. Very friendly, welcoming staff showed us to a stunning ground floor room with French windows overlooking the beach & a private terrace with seating to watch the sea.
Weather was wild, so watching the stormy sea from our cosy room, or the bar or restaurant was lovely.
Dinner was very, very good. Chef has recently changed & we were concerned as food has always been great, but we were not disappointed! The new chef is very talented too, & friendly. Celeriac soup with Rarebit was ‘to die for’, steak for mains was among the best we’d had, and pudding was delicious too. Parked easily, check in/out swift & efficient & chatty, great staff. Can’t wait to return, just need an excuse. Or do I?
So we stay here for a few days once or twice every year, often out of season and we love it. This time it was for New Year. The staff are sooooo welcoming, and very sweet. The owners usually make an appearance at some point and love to mix and mingle. The food is lovely, and served with a smile. The restaurant and bar staff take time to chat to their customers and are always bight and breezy. The hotel balances trendy with inclusivity, locals and tourists are welcome in the bar and restaurant. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable without being over the top. The best rooms of course are those with balconies but even the back rooms are nice. All in all a lovely hotel and of course a beautiful location ….check the tides and do the cliff walk coming back as the tide is going out along the beach.
Great location, beautiful room, immaculately clean, staff who were friendly and helpful and a shower to die for! Would definitely recommend to anyone and worth paying extra for a front facing room with a view
Quality hotel, with welcoming bar, greats rooms and dinner was superb 😄 close to town and all amenities, but also quiet enough to be away from everything. The whole place has a marvellous ambience and very pleasant and engaging staff
