How to Get There
Ok stay expensive hotel beach is small and has lots of shells have to ask for an umbrella rooms are nice and clean not comparable to other curio hotels we stayed at good was good at breakfast staff at desk were nice
We arrived on a Friday and oddly the valets were overly pushy to park our vehicle. Come to find out they don’t have enough parking for the guests. Vehicles are double and triple parked nearly inches away from the other cars. Once at the front desk, the clerk was not personable, only was concerned with our children’s names and handing us a pre-typed letter to arriving guests this weekend. Well I kindly explained that my minor children are exactly minors, no need for their names. Once in-the room the letter advising all guest the private beach was closed for this afternoon for a wedding. Well I think we should have beeen told this two weeks prior when we were making the reservation!! So the kids had to wait another 3 hours for the weeding chairs to be cleared away before we could go out to the beach. Instantly, I could see the garbage littered the beach. Cigarette butts, bottle caps, plastic bar stirring straws, plastic bags empty plastic bottles and a small empty plastic bag used to store illegal drugs.
Empty liquor bottles. The general manger should spend sometime evaluating the beach area, that they highly promote on their website. None of us removed our sandals in fear of getting cut. This was disgusting. So we left for dinner at Lenny and Joes. Upon returning the wedding band was in FULL swing. The amount of noise was unacceptable, even after I shut one of the hallway doors. So we thought once the kids went to sleep we would order room service, coffee and dessert. No menu in room so I called down to room service and was told to look up the menu online. After reading it and calling room service a second time I was told that was the fall menu online, what month is this July!!!!. So we ordered, sadly again disappointed. The lavender cobble crust was about 3/4 thick and to hard. There was fresh peaches. The coffee was weak and barely warm. Lastly we asked for a cot for one of our children, and was told they could not bring one to our room because we were on the Southside, and violated fire code. Really not what a guest wants to hear when paying this much money for a family weekend. My wife and I concerned on checking out on Saturday but the balance was UNREFUNDABLE. The only two things about this place is the housekeeping and decor was impeccable. Very disappointing, there are much better places for the money. Over priced and highly Disappointing.
The sandy beach and gorgeous ocean vista would get me back.
The food was good but didn't feel like it was 4 - 5 star dining.
Very noisy air conditioning system in the sleeping room.
Wedding Reception room was very nice.
Stayed last night, Saturday 6/23, for one night. Check in was seamless (thank you Trish and Patty) and Valet service was quick. I am writing because I had seen reviews about 3rd floor east wing noise when there is a wedding. I stayed in the East Wing (310), a beautiful king room, and while I could hear the DJ, it was not as bad as other 'water side" resorts in the area where I could hear every word of the songs that were played. And true to other reviews, the music stopped at 11pm. Had drinks on the porch, and breakfast the next morning. Both were excellent. All the staff was pleasant and efficient. I wish I could remember everyone's name. Thanks also to Hilton, as I used a cash and points award. Hope to be back soon.
The room and bathroom were not clean . There were non operation bathroom items. The restaurant was always out of several items. Very poor for a curio level hotel. The hotel staff was not very knowledgeable about the hotel !
