How to Get There
Stayed here on our Caravan New England States Tour. Great property! Lovely Lobby, Lounge was very nice, had drinks and appetizers, very good. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Staff was great! Samantha at check-in was awesome & took care of me as a Lifetime Platinum member even though I was on a tour. Bonvoy Lounge not open on the weekend, you could get water and some snacks only after noon on Friday until it re-opens Sunday evening. The hotel has gone through some major renovation from what I understand & its still work in progress. We had a fabulous breakfast buffet, the best accommodations and breakfast on our tour. The pool was very nice and they also have a hot tub. Workout room next to the pool, very nice. Also they have washers & dryers . The hotel is a short ride from Mystic Seaport. Starbucks on site which I was happy about. A fantastic stay and I would highly recommend the Mystic Marriott when in the area.
My family of four had a terrific time at Mystic, and the hotel experience was terrific. First, Corinne was really helpful in arranging for the two guest rooms we wanted to stay in on the concierge floor. And she sent a lovely fruit platter and basket of wine to welcome us and congratulate us on our anniversary. She couldn't have been nicer. Then when we checked in there was a young man, Doug, who was very friendly and gave us a list of restaurants to visit. And after that the bellman, Shawn, told us all his tips for making this a fun vacation. He took the time to give us restaurant and attraction suggestions. There were other people at the front desk who also were helpful along the way-just didn't catch all their names. It was really a nice mini-vacation. There was a lot to do in Mystic, and we also took the ferry over to Block Island one day. The hotel itself was nice; the beds were unusually comfortable; everyone in my family mentioned the beds! The concierge floor was open for breakfast during the week (nice breakfast) and they also served hors d'oeuvres at night and then dessert late night. There were free non-alcoholic beverages during the day. On the weekend, the lounge doesn't serve food, so the hotel provides a free buffet breakfast with made-to-order omelettes in the hotel restaurant for Marriott Platinum Elite members (and higher). That was a really nice addition too. Overall, great stay at the Mystic Marriott!
I stayed here for a wedding weekend. The desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The handle to the shower control was off and resting on the soap dish, and I had to carefully reinsert it to turn on the shower, hoping it wouldn't come off. And while I like having floors without carpeting, I was awakened by someone int he room above me walking around in heels for some time at 12:45 AM. The opening and closing of doors down the hall was quite audible in my room. Unfortunately, there is no outdoor patio to sit or enjoy morning coffee.
