How to Get There
My Husband and I have been coming here for the last 11-12 years. The Boutique Hotel is so quaint and boasts a Bavarian look. Many amenities including a fabulous breakfast each morning, skis are kept at the gondola for your convenience to go right up the mountain. Very friendly staff and Manager, Tellico, always trying to be there for their guests, helping in every way they can to have their guests have the most enjoyable vacation.
Convenient to the gondola, shopping, great great restaurants, free local bus, ice skating, etc.
Everything from the staff to the rooms to the breakfast was fantastic! We may have gotten lucky due to early season pricing, but I was pleasantly surprised by how great Austria Haus was for what we paid considering how expensive everything is in Vail; our stay was much more luxurious than I expected. The folks we talked to in town also agreed that Austria Haus is a good choice, which is nice to hear. We would definitely stay here again.
FYI, the website does not make this clear, but there is a very nice hot tub and heated pool on the patio. It is free for guests, and not related to the spa package they advertise on the website. We didn't bring swimsuits and had to buy them in town, so remember to bring a swimsuit!
My young daughter (7) and I visited the week before Christmas to Vail and were lucky enough to stay with the Austria Haus. The front desk and concierge made us feel very welcome immediately. Paula was so kind and helpful with all of our planning, parking, and rotating guests. Nothing was ever and issue and her guidance made our visit perfect!
We reserved a three bedroom suite and couldn’t believe how well it was laid out. The kitchen, dining room and living room provide a central area for our group to spend time together. The three separate bedrooms and bathrooms allowed for lots of privacy.
We all really enjoyed the morning breakfast in the entry area with a roaring fire and plenty of seating. A huge spread of different breakfast options were provided daily and a mix of omelettes, ham/cheese croissants and other delicious treats were provided through out the week.
The housekeeping were outstanding! Daily cleans and suite spruce ups were always appreciated.
We truly enjoyed the location in the center of Vail Village. We were able to jump on the bus just out front, the Starbucks right next door, ice skating a 2 minute walk and restaurants for all tastes.
An absolutely perfect visit to Vail! Thank you Paula and the entire Austria Haus team for making our visit 5 star. We can’t wait to come back!
Amazing accommodations, great location, incredibly kind and welcoming staff. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Vail. Pool and hot tub were calming and had access to additional hotels spa. Exactly what was needed after long days of skiing/snowboarding.
The Austria Haus is well-reviewed, and did not fail to deliver! I was lucky to get early check-in, and really appreciated the free valet parking, free breakfast, and free apres ski drink! Great hospitality offered by all staff, and easy enough to get to the mountain and area hot spots on foot. My room was well-appointed, and I was glad to see there was plenty of water provided and a Keurig coffee machine. I look forward to coming back!
