How to Get There
We drove down from the Denver area for an overnight getaway and this is now my favorite hotel anywhere in Colorado - and one of my top three anywhere in the world. The scenery is lovely, the customer care is absolutely perfect, and the food and entertainment was simply wonderful.
Our room was fabulous - comfortable bed, full kitchenette, steam shower(!) and jetted tub, bathrobes and other thoughtful amenities. We were on the 5th floor, which made for a lovely view and ensured the room was quiet.
We had arranged for the chef's table, which took place during the Wednesday night town concert. It was a private, romantic dining experience, right next to the bar and open air concert, so we could enjoy our dinner and still see and hear everything that was taking place outside.
The cuisine was delicious, inventive Asian fusion with an emphasis on seafood, such as coconut-based soups, crab rangoons, shrimp cakes...paired with wines from Colorado and California. Bring your appetite should you indulge: we could not finish all the courses. The breakfast buffet the next day was also superb: sausages, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, French toast, smoked salmon and more, all in a lovely, comfortable setting with sofas and pillows in addition to the standard tables and chairs.
The customer service made our stay even more special. These are genuinely nice people who are really good at their jobs. They made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Stuart emailed before we left to make sure our chef table was well-organized and tailored to our tastes. Jeffrey greeted us, took charge of our luggage, gave us a tour and parked the car. Mike got us checked in and settled. When we returned early from our dinner, housekeeping had already done turn-down service, refreshing the room and leaving us chocolates and bath salts.
The Inn itself is lovely and well-kept, with fresh flowers and a fire burning in the lobby fireplace, even in mid-August! The setting is picturesque, surrounded by mountains. It is a very short walk to the free gondola. At Jeffrey's recommendation, we took a ride on it to the town of Telluride (a 12-13 minute trip), stopping over to walk around station Saint Sophia, which offers magnificent views.
Our only complaint was that our trip was too short. The autumn colors will be arriving soon, and after that, of course, comes skiing. So, we will certainly return, and we will most definitely stay at the Inn at Lost Creek.
Stay and golf at Inn at Lost Creek in Telluride, CO, The property is central to the mountain village and has easy access to all of the lifts for easy access to the mountain and town. The staff at the Inn at Lost Creek are amazing, they will be helpful from the start of your stay until you leave.
One of the best places we have ever visited including all the European countries we frequent. It has it all. Great hotel. Superior staff. Amazing scenery. No pressure. Just relaxation and enjoyment. Not one hassle.
Was greeted with top notch service, one of a kind valet service, breakfast was amazing with amazing views!! Great location, walking distance from gondola. Every time we walked in, they asked about our day and they rememebered our activities. Garrett and Chad were great! This is your home away from home!
Beautiful property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When we left they even provided bottles of water, sunscreen and chapstick. Room had a fridge and coffee maker. The location is wonderfulj, just steps away from the Gondola which will take you to Telluride. I would definitely stay here again.
