Perfect Spot

Capital Peak was the perfect spot for us to attend the conference and take in the opportunities available in Snowmass Village. The room studio suite worked out well and had a beautiful daily view during our 11 day stay.

10 day stay at Capital Peak
Reviewed 2 months ago

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give Capital Peak a 5 to 7. We had problems with our front door locks not working and ended up spending nearly 2 hours in the hallway with refrigerator items while maintenance attempted to get us and our groceries into the room. The bathroom shower curtain had highly visible mold on it. After complaining, we received an "I'm sorry apology". There was no new shower curtain. There was no offer of any discount, free meal, drinks, discounted golf anything that would have said, "We accept responsibility for our mistakes and are wanting to ensure you have an excellent stay with us." Rather, it came across as this is the end of the season, you are lucky to be here, deal with it.

We had a wonderful experience at Capitol Peak Lodge!

The condo was beautiful and nicely decorated. Everything was clean and in great condition. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was the perfect place for us to stay for our family vacation. The two men at the front office were very helpful and made sure that we had all the information we needed to check in and attend the Jazz festival. We felt taken care of and had an amazing stay.

Warmwater / Telephone that doesn´t work / WiFi
Reviewed 4 months ago

As we arrived, two very warm motorcyclists, the wheel meant to control the heatwater in the shower was broken. We tried to reach the reception by the phone in the room. No contact. Since we come from Europe it is extremely expensive for us to use our own cell-phones. We were travelling with some other friends. We couldn´t reach them, because we didn´t know their roomnumber, and there was no information about WiFi with the keys that we received, or in the room, or else we could have sent a message. Finally we had to call our friends so they could help us finding the reception. The lady who was working there promised that we would have the heatwaterwheel repaired before we went to bed. Well, guess what. That never happened. We also told her about the telephone. No telephone works in any rooms, "because the guests think that they are not necesary". We explained why we would have liked the phone to work. "Oh, I never thought of that."
If the telephones don´t work at all in any room and never are supposed to, why keep them? She also had to write down the WiFi-information to us. That should have been given to us as we got our keys.
There is no logic in this about, wifi, telephone and maintenance in this hotel.

Weekend Away

The hotel was modern and the room was nice and clean. However the pillows are horrible and the mattress was average. For the price I would have expected better pillows. No A/C had to open the windows at night and it was noisy when cars passed by. Probably stay elsewhere next time.
