How to Get There
Five stars all around. My 9 year old twins, my husband, and I all had a wonderful time at this beautiful location... tons of activities, wonderful staff, plus fun & delicious surprises along the way. The kids camp was the most delightful surprise; because in addition to planned activities, the staff interacted with the kids throughout the day and kept an eye out for them even during free time and family/adult activities. We hated to leave and plan to return.
I can’t even begin to say how fantastic the Majestic Ranch is. The owner Robert obviously goes out of his way to hire top notch staff (Nancy, Jeff, Yvonne, Houston, Asa) and it shows in every interaction you have with them. I am a person who is a bit nervous on a horse, but that just disappeared because of the wranglers, especially Houston, that come along on every ride to make sure everything goes well. The food prepared by Chef Jeff was to die for! Salmon, halibut, prime rib, rack of lamb; the desserts were better than items I have had at 5 star restaurants. The accommodations are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Anything you need is provided, and if it isn’t, all you have to do is ask. I read in an earlier review a previous guest stated the wine and beer isn’t good and you should bring your own. We carted our own high end wine here, but didn’t end up drinking it because the wine they serve was actually quite delicious! If you want a lifetime of wonderful memories, plan a vacation here. You won’t be sorry. And you know what was extra enjoyable? No TV’s and people aren’t constantly on their phones....it was wonderful to actually be able to TALK to your fellow vacationers! Kudos again to Robert for providing such a unique trip. We will be returning again!
Had the best time. Rode a horse for the first time; ATV for the first time -twice!
Never a shortage of things to do.....and we still didn’t get to a few of the fun things.
Went with 7 other women out to have a good time...wasn’t sure we wanted to do the “Human Foosball” but Robert, the owner encouraged us, WHAT A BLAST!
Food for days...and GOOD!
Watching the horses come in from the pasture to get the morning
meal was, for me, magical, watching them run in.
Staff was the best....my favorite being Tim an Taylor. Robert, the owner, entertaining and funny as heck.
I went to a dude ranch - rode a horse once- I’d rather look then ride -and had a great
time. I do regret not taking the riding lessons-possibly I would have ridden more.
Accommodates not fancy-very ‘dude’ ranch and that’s what it’s about.
This is an experience I would of never had if it weren’t for a FABULOUS friend who invited me. I will never forget it.
This was our first try at a dude ranch, and we had a blast! Sometimes "family friendly" is geared more towards adults and children, leaving teenagers without good options. Not so here! Our 17, 15 and 13 year olds had as much fun as everyone else. We enjoyed a huge variety of activities we haven't tried before, such as mountain biking, fly fishing and ATV's, not to mention horseback riding lessons and long rides through beautiful country. And the lazier members of our family especially enjoyed the electric bikes!
My favorite part was getting to know people from all over the country. The activities and dining arrangements lend themselves to many laughs and great conversations with strangers who become friends right away.
I noticed many reviews talk about the activities but you can actually be as busy or relaxed as you want to be. Each activity has a sign-up the night before, so if you want a day to lie in a hammock and read a book and nap, there's always that option.
We looked forward to hearing the dinner bell and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious, hearty meals (and the desserts were to die for! Kudos to the awesome pastry chef!!).
We stayed in one of the newer cabins and were very happy with the layout and comfort.
I can't say enough about the genuinely happy, helpful, friendly staff. They made us feel right at home and were the "icing on the cake" for a delightful vacation. This is definitely a ranch I'd love to visit again!
Non-stop activities, especially for kids. Really good horses, knowledgeable wranglers, and pretty scenery. They stress safety, so don't expect to gallop off in the sunset. All the activities listed on the website, and more are really first rate. Paintball guns to shotguns for skeet shooting are good quality. Some kids spent all their time in the batting cage with the baseball pitching machine. This is not a relaxing vacation given the daily activity schedule that starts at 9 am and runs through 10 pm.. Make sure to bring your own wine, beer, and alcohol as the Ranch's selections are pretty basic. Also, most of the cabins lack A/C. But it cools off at night. The food is good and plentiful, but not gourmet. You are on a dude ranch, not a five star restaurant in NYC, Finally, the value of the stay is very high after you factor in all the activities they provide such as white-water rafting. The owners, counselors and staff are very friendly and accommodating...
