Romantic, Vegan-Friendly Stay

My boyfriend and I stayed in the treehouse for one night and were delighted by the accommodations. The whole team at Highland Haven was so welcoming and they even provided a vegan breakfast for us in the morning (it was delicious!). The treehouse was so beautiful, unique, and romantic and we loved that it was just a 5 minute walk into town. I can't say enough good things about this place - their attention to detail and hospitality is top notch.

A Wonderful Experience

Our first stay at the Highland Haven Creekside Inn in August of 2019 was a wonderful experience! For starters, the inn went out of it's way to check us in early and provided a free upgrade from a standard guest room to a junior suite.

We found the inn and its surroundings to be better than we hoped for. What we saw on its website was exceeded by our experience. The inn had a secluded, rustic and mountainous feel. Bear Creek ran along the property. The sound of the running water was calming, adding to the aura of the property. There were patio chairs and tables set up on the lawn that was adjacent to the creek, allowing one to enjoy the outdoor essence of the inn.

The suite was cozy and clean. The kitchen area was equipped with a microwave and small refrigerator. It also had glasses and plates.. The bathroom contained plush robes and towels for its guests. The bedding was pulled back with chocolates to enjoy. There was a private rear deck that overlooked the property and creek. The running water from the creek could be heard from our suite and added to the relaxing tone of the inn.

We were able to enjoy the inn's happy hour that provided snacks and drinks. The next morning, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast that included French toast, biscuits & gravy and several varieties of fruit. We were not rushed, because the inn has a gracious check-out time of noon.

The inn is located in the scenic town of Evergreen, located in the lower heights of the Colorado Rockies. It has a beautiful lake within the town limits. The inn is the perfect place for those who enjoy the mountains and the outdoors. I will definitely return to the inn. In fact, I'm looking forward to our next stay!

haven is a perfect name; wish we could have stayed longer

husband & wife (late 50s) traveling to Roaring Fork Valley via Denver airport for a week, exploring lots of properties, restaurants, & scenery; needed place to stay last night W of Denver city limits before heading to airport midday; HAD to taste the luxury shown on the website when stumbled on this gem via Internet; as lovely as advertised; setting & old style lodging (now modernized) fabulous; great that family owned for decades; Evergreen beautiful place; did not have time to check out shops & restaurants; stayed in deluxe guest rm D but would splurge on more expensive more unique rooms if returned; cocktail hour treats & breakfast buffet delicious in wonderful dining rooms in which you want to linger; we should have used the noise machine - no one was rowdy, but wind howled outside windows onto upper back parking lot & the ceiling/floors creaked as upstairs neighbors moved about; shower tight & sink awfully small & angled so hard to use wo/splashing; lush bath & bed linens; good overhead & lamp lighting; nice built ins; room not cramped & had seating; porches & outdoor lawn areas nice
