How to Get There
Stayed with my husby in the beggining of this last season, dec 2017. Hotel was empty, service not really good, but facilities are good. Very Good location...if you go mid season you can ski in out. Very good restaurants near by....one schuttle away
Front desk staff was pleasant and the townhouse was nice. Views and location to town were perfect. However, each day they were supposed to bring clean towels, stock the coffee and remove the trash. That never happened. I inquired about it on the 3rd day and they said after check-ins were complete. At 8:45pm, I had to call the front desk and ask for towels. Garbage was still left. We stayed for 7 days and not once did they clean or do what they said they would do. Poor service for a high price
This was a great place to stay. Super clean. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo and it was perfect. The place was bigger than expected. The location to Main Street is amazing and so easy to get everywhere. The pool and hot tubs were nice. Would definitely stay here again!
Stayed in 3 bedroom townhouse close to pool/hot tubs and it was great. Unit 400 was completely remodeled and great location to the lodge, pool and walking distance to downtown. The shuttle took guests skiing and out on the town whenever we wanted. Nice to be able to walk across the street to the gondola or ski to the lodge at the end of the day. Will definitely stay in same unit the next time we come out spring skiing. Unit was not on the perimeter so did not hear grooming equipment late at night and private patio was great for hanging out with the group and over look the pool.
Stayed here over Labor Day Weekend 2017 with a group of 5 (two couples and a 1 year old).
We had a condo on the top floor of the main lodge - same building as the front desk. Our unit was perfect size and worked out very well. The view up the Mountain was beautiful!
Condo: The condo itself was very clean and had just about everything we needed - they even had humidifiers in the closets (which we definitely needed). Beds were comfortable, too. We asked for a pack n play for the baby - it was brought up very quickly and set up. We also called for a highchair and it was brought very quickly, too. Everyone at the resort that we had contact with was very friendly and accommodating. ONLY complaint was the lack of AC - it was 80's during the day and the condo remained very warm at all times. Being right above the front desk, we did find it loud at times as people were coming and going, but nothing too obnoxious. The parking below is a little tight.. if you have a large vehicle, it is a little precarious. Also, if the building is full.. parking is usually full, too.
Lodge: Location is very convenient - short walk from Main Street. There is a tunnel for you to access to cross the road, which is nice! The main lobby has a coffee and tea station, but they also sell beer and wine right there, too. convenience! :) One thing that I felt really shows how guest centered this place is was the fact that they had a HUGE pump bottle of sunscreen in the Lobby (and a nice, natural brand, too!) available for guests to access. How cool is that? For those those of us that totally were oblivious to the fact that we were going to be traveling closer to the SUN, it was a much appreciated gesture.
I was sad we were not able to take advantage of the pool, i heard it was awesome!
All in all we had a great experience at Mountain Thunder and we hope to visit again in the future!
