The sleek black marble and Colombian brick façade, presided over by white-gloved bellmen, leads to a living room–like lobby and bar dotted with plush sofas, modern armchairs and tropical plants. Interior designer Ana Maria Arroyo has infused the public spaces with contemporary Colombian paintings and objets d’art in mother-of-pearl, clay and metal. Upstairs, the swanky rooftop terrace gazes out at the city’s skyline.
Bed and Bath
The 60 apartment-style one- and two-bedroom suites start at 550 square feet and come equipped with full kitchens, separate living rooms and gadgets galore: iPods, docking stations, Bose surround-sound systems. The hotel opened in January 2013, so there are a few technological kinks to be ironed out, but when they are, the TV, blackout curtains and lights will all be controlled from the nightstand. Kingsize beds are clad in 400-thread-count white linens offset by nude, caramel and brown accents. A spacious walk-through closet separates bedrooms from the small bathrooms, which are stocked with Hermès amenities and have extralarge showerheads.
The breakfast buffet is adequate but unexceptional. It’s at night that chef Sivestre cuts loose and serves a delicious carb-conscious carpaccio of artichoke, a huge, rich, cheesy pizza of sorts made without dough, which he pairs with organic Spanish wine. The traditional ceviche de corvina is a particular highlight; tuck into hunks of tender fish marinated in an aromatic, tomato-based sauce. There’s a small on-site screening room that can be booked by guests 24 hours a day, a petite gym, a coffee lounge bar that serves strong Colombian brews, and an impressive rooftop terrace for stellar views of Bogota’s skyline.
In the Area
The hotel has private cars that can transport you anywhere during the day. Request an English-speaking driver to pass the time in this traffic-slammed city. At night Parque 93 beckons, with trendy eateries like the very affordable Café Renault (choose from sushi, antipasti, a pizza station, pastas, tapas, curries, Arab food, fondue, fish and croque monsieurs); Habana 93, with its vibrant Cuban music and Caribbean ambience; the cool jazz of the pricey Gato Negro; and Pesquera Jaramillo for fish and live music. Walk through this safe area and let your palate be your guide. Most restaurants are also open for lunch.
How to Get There
I have to preface with I typically don’t write reviews however, this hotel was spectacular .
the booking process, welcoming process was 5 starts. The staff at the hotel staff was super attentive I had an amazing experience and felt super safe..
Luxury suits WTC provided me with everything that I needed in terms of convenience, amenities specifically Andres, he went above and beyond to facilitate some specific needs that I had while I was there. The food is divine, my favorite was restaurant Cornelia can’t wait to go Back.
I highly recommend this hotel !!!
I know the other reviews are quite positive so does it need another? YES it does! We absolutely loved our first hotel/apartment in Colombia. This was the perfect way to start the vacation. We arrived quite late and were met by a driver which we had prearranged through the hotel. He was courteous and helped with our bags. We were met at the hotel by the friendly and efficient front staff and quickly got to our room. We had the two bedroom suite and it was just what we needed for our family. The crib was already set up and we appreciated all of the small touches! The tour arranged by Marco was perfect! The most impressive thing was that he sought us out after to make sure we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and asked if any issues etc. The breakfast was also amazing. The waitstaff all so polite and accommodating. They will make anything a la carte (eggs, pancakes, etc) and also have a great buffet spread. The location was also nice if you have kids, multiple parks near by and even a pizza place just down the street. The only con if I have to name one was the construction site next to the hotel which was loud only if door to balcony or windows were open. Although to my 3 year old son this was definitely not a con! He had a ball watching the action from the balcony. I would recommend this hotel for families for sure and to anyone who wants a more homey yet luxurious hotel type experience. Thank you to everyone who made our short but sweet stay a success.
I stay at the 93 luxury with my family for 2 weeks to get a hip surgery and the attention was above expectation. The service and quality of the Hotel helped made my recovery much better.
