I’ve written other reviews about our stay and took the survey from the hotel. Nothing. Silence. They don’t give a rip. The hotel is disgustingly filthy, hardly any staff works there and it is no more a resort than a Hampton Inn. A Hampton Inn is at least cleaner. We found MULTIPLE pubic hairs on the bed and in the bathroom. Piles of hair and dust rolling around the bathroom. Hair all over the sinks. Someone had laid on one of the beds before we got there. No waschcloths. No bottled water. No concierge. No bellman. No valet. Just a smug awful manager named Elaine Gokey who did not care about our horrible experience and who dismissed us because they had our money. I will continue to write bad reviews about this place because I don’t want anyone else to make the mistake we did by staying there.

Was very impressed with the accomodations and the beds were so comfortable. Staff was excellent and location was perfect to access most all of Charleston. Restaurant & Gift store were convenient. Food at restaurant was wonderful & the bartender fabulous!!

Great potenial but asleep out of season.

This is a really nice resort hotel and a super place for relaxing and enjoying a break. It is a bit outside the city so personal transportation is a must even though they do have a hotel shuttle bus operating.
Our problem was the service, or almost lack of it. On check in the fact that we changed our stay to two rather than the planned one night through the booking site caused some confusion and was not properly recorded. A nice bar just outside main hotel complex was operated by friendly bar tenders but closed a bit early for us. Breakfast was also at a facility just outside the hotel . Nice but a bit too expensive.

Lovely rooms / suites but we were surprised to find the rooms not made up after our day our in the city. When we called down we were asked did we have a DND sign left out which we had not. Our friends had the same experience and again the same excuse. The rooms were made up straight away after that.

So as I said the place is lovely but off season service is lacking, I have no doubt fully staffed in high season things will be much better.

We LOVE IT here! We got to enjoy the resort by swimming and relaxing by the pool one day and then the next day, use the hotel’s shuttle or just drive yourself (if you have your car) into Charleston. Takes 10-15 minutes. Mt Pleasant is a beautiful city as well with fantastic restaurants! Best of both worlds!!
