Read if going with young children

We had our entire family fly in, some from London for a long weekend. We called weeks ahead to get reservations and they were fully committed for every night at every restaurant. we're flexible on times, but fully committed. When we got there we assumed there were casual restaurants, but NO!! Just the bar which has no options for kids.

We had our entire family stranded there with NO food options. The room service doesn't have kids food. They told us to go a 5:30 to a restaurant. We went at 5:05. An hour and a half wait of families just like us. Just trying to feed their kids!! They too had no options. When we went to them, they asked how it is there fault. We are staying at your resort and can't feed our children. They offered to shuttle us to Charleston an hour away with our kids crying and starving.

And they were not even apologetic. I've stayed at the hotels all over the world and have never been treated like this.

We went to the grocery store tonight and will be eating in the room turkey slices.

Do not go here. Rent a house. We did that last time and had the best time. Kiwah is amazing and you can use the spa (and obviously) all the restaurants without staying there.

This our third year "crashing" our husband's annual golf trip at The Sanctuary and every year it gets better and better. The rooms are luxurious and the ocean views are gorgeous. The staff always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They are extremely attentive and always checking that you are comfortable and happy. Two of our favorite places to eat are the Ocean Club and the Atlantic Room -- they never fail to disappoint. I must say I love my morning biscuit at Jasmine. We look forward to returning for many more years to come.

Gorgeous hotel and engaging staff

Truly one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. The one room suite was luxurious and had three balconies, all with gorgeous views. Staff was kind, helpful, and engaging. The main lobby areas and grounds of the hotel were perfectly kept and gorgeous. Food and cocktails were on point. Our kiddo loved the indoor pool and kids pack given to her at check in.

Our Second stay at the resort, this time in an Ocean Front Room. The Resort has something for everyone, and the hotel staff are among the best in the business. Please make certain to tell staff ahead if you are celebrating a special occasion, you won't be disappointed.

We had a fabulous stay for our fortieth wedding anniversary! The staff did everything possible to make our celebration extraordinary! We enjoyed wonderful golf on the the beautiful Osprey course, amazing dinners at the Atlantic Room and Ocean Room, and a fun time on bikes. The housekeeping staff were terrific and our ocean view room was spectacular. We can’t wait to return.
