Wanted to love it.

I stayed in the Boardwalk Inn for 3 nights. The lobby and restaurant were updated and very pretty. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We had a Junior Suite, and while it was nice, it could have used a few updates and deep clean. The sheets on the bed were worn and I had to have them changed after the first night. The bed was also worn and too bouncy and soft. I will say that I am very picky though. The beach is a typical SC beach. Nice sand. We used the beach chair service and beach food service. Both were good. The beach is very crowded, but that is to be expected during peak season. The pools were clean, but also crowded. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. But I think I will try another beach resort next summer.

Nice Beach Property

Pros:
- Beautiful beach
- Nice, clean pools
- Kind service
- Food options were vast

Cons:
- Expensive beach chairs ($70 for one day)
- Slow check in. Only one person working on a weekend day.
- Most people drive, but we did not. Ubers were a bit confused on where to come pick up.
- Bed was very uncomfortable.

Resort Property great, rooms average at best, service hit or miss

We recently went to Wild Dunes and Stayed at Port o Call (104C). It is a one bedroom classified as ocean view. The ocean was view-able only if you look out the glass door to the living room or porch and look 90 degrees. Your view is really of the next row of condos and a pool. I guess we were not looking at a parking lot so that is not that bad. As others have said, there is cable TV, but only the 4 majors and they are in SD, no HD as the owner did not subscribe to that package. Also, no ESPN or other

July 2018 Room 407B

When we arrived at our room on Saturday July 14 the front door and the safe box in the room were not in working condition. I then contacted guess services and was told someone would come to our room shortly. That never happened. Next day I personally walked across the building to the office to ask about the repairs. The lady there could not care less. She told me that she would contact maintenance again and that we just needed to wait. No one came to our room during that day Sunday the 15. In the morning of Monday, the 16 I went again to the office to question the kind of services the hotel provides. I was told maintenance sooner or later would arrive to our room. That morning the maintenance person arrived at our room, but he was not able to fix either the front door nor the safe box. He said he needed to come back later.
Unfortunately, due to the fact the room felt very unsafe my wife took her wedding ring with her day day and lost it. We reported the lost item and were told by the service desk that the hotel was very sorry and that they would tried to better next time. This was just unbelievable!! No one care!!

We left the hotel yesterday and the front door of our room was still broken.

In summary we had the worst vacation of our life and no one at the property seem to care.

This is just not right!

Beat the charleston heat

Resort was a lovely option to staying in the city of Charleston during the summer heat and humidity season. Easy 20 min commute to see the sights of Charleston but nice to have a beach community in the evenings or to wind down. Would definitely visit again.
