How to Get There
We stayed here for a short night but we arrived early and had enough time to walk around town. When we arrived, it was the international pancake day... the hotel even had a station right in the lobby to serve pancakes. super cute
The room wasn't big but it's was designed very smart with right area for luggage and right places for your plugs and USB.
Mackey at the door was someone special, he was super friendly and warm!
Would love to come back
We arrived early, but that was no trouble for Nita as she found a room for us quickly so we were able to get settled. Mackey and Mr. Bill cheerfully took care of our bikes and helped get our luggage to our room. Each day we were met with a smile and offers of water by these porters, and when we were ready to leave they were there to help. Halloween candy was available at the welcome table which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the Dum Dum collage and the container of Dum Dum's beneath as well as other artwork on display. The hotel was repairing the water line during the day for two days in a row, but the information was written and posted and didn't affect us. We appreciated the heads up.
We recently visited the historic district of Charleston and stayed at the Renaissance. We had a great time - highly recommend this is an awesome area to visit! - We very much enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance. It's very convenient to tall areas of this part of the city - everything was totally walkable - and has a staff who all go above and beyond! In particular was a valet named Jay - absolutely one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet - went out of his way to make our stay as great as possible; his co-valet, Mack was awesome too. If you go to the restaurant for breakfast, ask for Nita --- she may be the nicest server you could ever hope to have and as a transplant from the Boston area, we felt a connection with her! She gave us some good advice to enjoy the area. These folks are a credit to the Marriott brand and I hope they get the recognition they deserve!
