Lovely historic inn, great experience

We traveled to Charleston for our anniversary. The staff of JR took great care of us and made our anniversary very memorable. The hotel itself was amazing! Very great stay, will absolutely be back again!

Time Stopped Here

Beautiful mansion of John Rutlege's ,circa 1776, emulates the life and times of our Founding Fathers. Outstanding breakfast, service, and we enjoyed the afternoon tea and food in the Second Floor Parlor. If you are a student of history, you will enjoy staying here.

Living in another time

We love Charleston and wanted a place that really gave us the feel of the city and John Rutledge House Inn was exactly what we were looking for. We so enjoyed our stay - if you are looking for SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY - this is the place!!! We walked every place and the Inn is in a perfect location to see south of Broad, the French District and the Market. Come on over and sit a spell!!
