Visit to Historic Charleston
Reviewed 4 days ago

Hotel was on northern part of historic district. It is physically connected to the Hyatt Place, the sister hotel. Very modern and updated. Room was comfortable and bed was great. There is a public parking lot adjacent to the property that the valets use. It was a no brainer to use it. Pay $16 versus $32. City was walkable. About 1 1/2 miles to the southern tip. Most of the really cool stuff is down that way. Did a horse and wagon tour for $28 and a walking tour for $20 later that day. Two hour walking tour was much better and greater value. Plenty of restaurants in the overall area. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast had omelettes made to order but things became backed up. No waffles or pancakes or French toast on buffet. I love that stuff. I’d recommend this hotel if the price is right. Location is critical and this is right in the ballpark especially if you are a walker.

Comfortable and Convenient

Rooms were comfortable and location very convenient to shopping and eating on King Street. We were able to walk right out the doors of the hotel and find many options for delicious dining within a couple of blocks of the hotel. The staff was professional and eager to help. Would stay here again!

Wonderful, family friendly place to stay

This is the second Hyatt House I've stayed at and again I had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming at check-in, I asked for a crib and high chair for my room and someone was there with everything within 15 minutes of my arrival. The breakfast buffet was generous and had lots of options. The pool was clean. The room was clean. The staff everywhere were so helpful anytime I interacted with them!

Not very satisfied

The suite was ok , but we did not like very much the decoration , it was at the highest floor with a not nice view . Breakfast was average , the staff at the breakfast service were not kind , honestly , I would not consider this hotel option again if I go to Charleston.
