Slice of Southern Heaven in the Heart of Downtown Beaufort
Reviewed 1 week ago

The Rhett House Inn is a little piece of Southern heaven in the heart of lively downtown Beaufort. Aimee was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed waking to the sounds of happy birds in very comfortable accommodations. The RHI is accessible to everything downtown by foot and has a beautiful view. Clean, spacious, peaceful, and accommodating, and breakfast at the Inn was the cherry on top of it all. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My first ever Bed and Breakfast

What a great experience. Upon arrival we were taken on a tour of the place by Parker, taken to our room, and after settling in we enjoyed homemade iced tea and baked goods. We were in room 2 which is upstairs with a door to the balcony. (There are no elevators) Not an issue for us. Very quaint, clean and comfortable. We had delicious breakfasts during our stay. Made to order. Great servers, Chandelyn (I hope I spelled it right). If not just call her Chandelier (she's ok with that) and Ms. Anna. We even got to meet the famous Ms. Beverly. Thank you Steve Harrison. Your guests from Queens and Long Island, NY

Great Location!

The location in the historic district is very good. Parker greeted us on arrival and was very friendly and informative. She immediately made dinner reservations for us as she said everything would be booked. We were supposed to be in Rm 3 but were moved to Rm 1 with no explanation given, unfortunately. Now, the location of this room is between the kitchen and check in area so its very noisy. However, I told Parker about the kitchen noise waking us up extremely early and she was able to take care of it and we had no problems the next morning. Thank You ! Coffee in the morning at 7...breakfast from 8 - 11 am, cookies in the afternoon, followed by a cheese tray around 5 and dessert from 7 to 9 in the kitchen. We were very happy with our stay here.

Terrible client service even before we arrived!!!

I called the Rhett House to modify my three bedroom reservation. I spoke to Amy. My purpose was to cancel one of the three rooms I had reserved because I had gotten word that my friend could not join us. Amy was shockingly rude. At first she seemed annoyed that she was in the kitchen and did not have access to the reservation system. Then she said that I did not have any reservations, which was incorrect. Apparently that was my fault since someone misspelled my last name. That did not prohibit them from charging my credit card with the correct spelling. The most disturbing was Amy’s attitude. What should have been a very simple and straight forward notification turned so unpleasant that I cancelled all three rooms, accepted the penalty and went elsewhere. I am glad that I did not stay somewhere that treats their guests that way even before they arrive!

LOVELY!

We had a "cottage" room reserved, which is not in the main house, but we actually prefer that.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and words alone cannot describe how fabulous the breakfast is!

They also have cookies, tea, etc, during the day and in the evening, offer cheese, crackers, veggies, etc. Wine is available for purchase.

Ms. Beverly is a wonderful cook and you will want to come bac for her food alone!
