Lovely stay at South Beach Hotel
Reviewed 1 day ago

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks at South Beach.

The staff are lovely - a bit reserved but friendly and very helpful. The housekeeping staff are great - quick and thorough.

I loved breakfast. It was varied enough for a 2 week stay and I loved the Bajan options - I might have to book a return visit for bakes alone!

The room was very comfortable. The beds are super kings and have many pillows. We had a table and 2 chairs, a sofa and a side table. The balcony was large with a table and chairs.

The galley kitchen had a 2 burner hob, microwave, counter height fridge, crockery, cutlery, a coffee maker, toaster, kettle and blender. It was very helpful to have a full size iron and ironing board.

The bathroom was fine. It had a rainfall shower and a roomy shower enclosure.

Rockley is a very convenient location and the beach is wonderful.

When we return to Barbados we will certainly consider staying again at South Beach.

Awful hotel from start to finish, horrible check in with a hidden charge, Tanya especially I found awful who didn’t let us check in, once we did this things got stollen out of our room. Food was gross and over all a awful stay at a awful hotel this defiantly isn’t a 4*

Lovely hotel with large airey rooms but beware the bar shuts at 7.0 p.m and there is a distinct lack of pure bars locally. Also situated on a main road with continuous sounding of 2 tone horns of mini bus drivers touting for business but you get used to this.

Great facility in Hastings
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We have been regular visitors to Barbados during the past decade, usually escaping the UK in late October and most of November. Our parish of choice is Christchurch where we have enjoyed staying Hastings, Worthing, Maxwell, Enterprise and Inch Marlow where we have stayed in hotels, rented apartments and houses as well has benefited from some good RCI Time Share exchanges. It was such that enabled us to have our final 8 days of a recent 28 days break in Barbados, that also included a 7-days cruise, at South Beach Hotel. We had been aware of this resort for many years and often wondered if it matched the quality of its location. It did.The staff were welcoming and very professional making our arrival on a very hot day a seamless experience. This quality of service we experienced throughout our stay whilst they were always cheerful and communicative whenever we entered or exited the building regardless of the time. The rooms are high in quality and facilities with the service offered during our stay being of a high quality without being intrusive.. You can self cater or use the resorts facilities for breakfast and then eat out with the locality offering many choices from the wonderful Chefette next door, we recommend the all beef rotis, to a wide range of eating experiences along the road a mile either side of South Beach. Accra Beach is across the road or you can laze in comfort and privacy by the interesting swimming pool that is to the front of the hotel building. The front of the building provides easy and immediate acces to a range of transport opportunities - taxi, public transport as well as the legendary ZR's - the latter 2 offering great value. You can of course get a hire car giving even greater choice on your destination - South Beach will offer you advice and guidance re potential days out or short trips whilst the Barbados veterans can use the hotel as a well located base for their vacation.Would we return to South Beach? - YES

A great location for beach, minibus, restaurants and yoga at Samudra. Rooms very large with a Nice balcony. Only one thing the road is very busy at peak times. Free sun loungers on the beach and towels.
