Overview

Boutique, Renaissance-inspired Pattaya pad with white-glove service, a pool and spa

The Lowdown

Ninety miles outside of Bangkok and within walking distance to the beaches and attractions of Pattaya, the 70-room Four Seasons Place melds traditional Thai hospitality with an unexpected dose of classical Mediterranean styling. Twin seven-story buildings house all-suite digs that frame a central outdoor pool, and a fully equipped fitness center and holistic spa provide hotel-based exercise and relaxation beyond the nearby beach. The main restaurant, Season’s Café & Bar, serves European and Thai fare in the dining room, poolside or in the comfort of your own room. Looking for a bit of a scene? Hip Harlem Bar mixes up cocktails day and night.

In the Area

Catch a pachyderm parade at Pattaya Elephant Village, just off Phonpraphanimit Road, or have an elephant encounter of your own with a personal ride around the village. Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Chonburi Province also offers elephant shows, as well as crocodile, pig and tiger exhibitions. Spend a half-day touring the tropical flora of Nong Nooch Village, with door-to-door transport available right from the hotel. And for a look at life beneath the surface, hit up the Pattaya Dive Centre, offering two-dive excursions including all equipment, as well as PADI Open Water certification.

Good but need some maintenance

Hotel property was good, room was also really spacious and big and with kitchenette. The Staff was very helpful and friendly. House keeping and room service was also really great. Breakfast was ok. Only problem was the hotel is bit away from the beach or walking street and it’s difficult to find transportation from or near the hotel.

Disappointing second visit
Reviewed 1 week ago

Visited originally 18 months prior. Was exceptionally clean and seemed to be undergoing a revamp. Excellent first vist - HOWEVER!!! this latest visit was a disappointing disgrace! 3 of the four pillows had blood stains, was replaced and one of the replacements had an even worse blood-stain (matress protector also had blood-spots) in front of the coffee table was a pool of blood droplets left to go dry and the bathroom was mouldy as hell! We went out while the manager arranged for a cleaning crew to go through the room which clearly had not been cleaned. Somchai the chef was still there and the food was fine but as far as cleaniness goes they have certainly gone downhill.

I will quantify this poor review by stating they advertised for a lot of new staff just after we left including cleaners so quite possibly they have addressed the problems? However if I were you checking in make sure you check the pillows and other linen and check the aircon filters as they were filthy and resulted in my wife & I getting a savge chest infection that persisted for 6 weeks! Totally ruined our trip to thailand this time.

Fantastic

Fantastic place! The prices are not expensive. Please note that this is not owned by the Four Seasons Hotel Group, but this place is luxurious and well worth every penny. The rooms are big and spacious and have all the amenities you need. The staff is very courteous and friendly. They have their own shuttle which drops you off to nearby places for free. The guy driving the Shuttle, Tono, was extremely friendly and helpful to us. The food options are good and they have their own massage service and gym. We did not avail any of those services though. The place is close to the city centre, Beach and Walking Street. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a pleasant stay at Pattaya. You will not be disappointed.

Disgusting

Omg. In 18 months this hotel has changed from a lovely clean hotel to an absolute Disgusting pig sty.
Blood all over floor and table. We were given 5 blood stained pillows. Mould in shower was disgusting. Air con filters not cleaned in god knows how long. My Thailand trip has been ruined as l have been sick for 2 weeks since leaving there. We were only there 3 nights. So terribly dissapointed and angry. They refunded the first night. Big deal. Never again. Be very wary of this place.

Decent rooms shadowed by awful service & poor breakfast

Overall the stay here was a huge disappointment and felt cheated out of the large rental we paid for this property.

We took a 2-bedroom suite and the room was great. Check in was smooth. Beds are ok and washrooms are good for a 3 or 4 star level. What leaves a lot to be desired:

Housekeeping:
- Did not change towels even after the third day of cleaning and had to be called again and asked to replace them
- Do not change bed sheets and pillow covers even after 3 days. I now doubt if we got fresh ones when we arrived.
- Room cleaning everyday has to be called again once you return in the evening as work is not done- bathrooms are dirty, dustbins not emptied, sofas not aligned, etc. Very irritating considering they are very expensive compared to their location.

- Breakfast has the basic essentials of bread, toaster, eggs to order, juices and some ham/sausage, fruits and corn flakes. It’s served till 1030 and everytime I have walked in there between 0930 & 1000, everything has been empty or just so. People keep walking in, we keep asking for more and staff keep saying yes yes . Cutting corners here is pathetic and leaves a very poor taste.

- 2 lifts in a block and one is not working.

The hotel sells online saying close to the beach and is about a 2 km walk to the walking street area, the problem is that this is a secluded part of town and I have never found a cab or Tuk tuk to go anywhere. So the next option is to walk 10-15 minutes and then take a ride. In the Pattaya Heat, it’s not easy. Coming back as well charged are high as no one wants to come here.
