Overview

Contemporary crash pad a block from the beach with a rooftop cocktail bar and a sleek spa

The Lowdown

Next to the Avenue Mall and a block from the beach, the Hotel Baraquda is a contemporary crash pad with a super-central location in Pattaya. The 72 guestrooms are bright and breezy, with a turquoise and sand color scheme, and all come with iPod docks, DVD players and tea- and coffeemaking facilities. Splurge on a Baraquda Suite for a separate living room and a Jacuzzi. There’s an impressive array of facilities given the low room count, including a spacious outdoor pool, a rooftop bar and restaurant, and a serene spa with a modern fitness room. The Sea restaurant is a split-level all-day dining spot overlooking the pool, and the Sunset Lounge serves light bites and cocktails up on the roof.

In the Area

Pattaya’s main attractions include the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden elephant show, the spectacular Tiffany transvestite review and the Floating Market. In nearby Wong Amat don’t miss the massive all-wood Sanctuary of Truth Temple. Beach Road in central Pattaya is lined with bars and bargain markets, while south Pattaya’s Walking Street is a unique and noisy zone of adult go-go bars and eateries.

Great Hotel in a great location

Stayed for my second occasion at the Baraquda Hotel MGallery Pattaya. Not only was the hotel situated in a prime location , but this hotel is truly a fantastic place to stray in Pattaya. The hotel is located centrally to shopping , night life and all tourist areas.
The staff are most helpful and the rooms first class.

Having stayed from 26th March-3April with excellent service and everything you would like from a 5Star hotel, to our second stay from 30th. April - 12May which was like going to a different hotel altogether. Staff cuts to half the important area's such as Restaurant which were serviced by 1 (ONE) person to do Room Service, Restaurant FOR Dinner, and answer the Telephone for room service delivery.

Its like a second home whenever i am on work trip to the Lambechang Sea port. The hotel is exclusively located on second rood which makes it right in the hustle bustle and also away from it. I love the white decor and blue decor of the hotel and it just soothes me from within.

I cannot stop praising the staff which is so well trained and learned. They are always smiling and ready to help. I simply love the stay in Baraquda each and every time.

I own it to Jagan Lascher, Ms. Mewika, Ms. KFC and Ms. PEPE for the love you guys share with us.

Design Hotel in the heart of Pattaya

I stayed in this hotel plenty of times and I always come back there. It is perfect located in walking distance to walking street and the rooms are very modern designed. The stuff is very helpful and always willing to make the stay there unique. Especially the receptionist Khun GIGI I need to recommend. She speak perfect English and always try to help best she can. Pool is huge and nice loungers for take sun.
I need to say that this is one of the few MGalleries where Accor Platinum members are really handled like a priority guest in regards to their loyalty.
I will come back for sure very soon.

Sorry, not the 5 star feeling

Stayed here during Songkran for a few days.

Check-in was good.
They wanted 5000 thb in deposit from my creditcard. I said I’ll pay cash. Suddenly the price on deposit went down to 3000 thb. I don’t know why...
Anyway,
followed to the room on 3rd floor by frontdesk staff.
Room smelled like old/mold, rotten wood.
Went down to complain and first tried a new room on 4th floor. Same issue there. At the end they gave me a room on 5th floor, yes the smell was better and I could live with that. Hotel did made an effort changing my room and that is good service. And it seems like they are aware of this issue with smelling rooms. Sorry this does not give you an earned 5 star stamp.
There was also holes in the bed sheets. I complained and they changed to another that also had holes. Looked like cigaret burnings.
At this time I just couldn’t bother anymore.

However staff is very service minded and they speak good english. Could perhaps stay here again but it is well overpriced.

Shower: Weak pressure.
Bed: Nice and soft.
Light in room: Poor.
Service: Quite good.
Housekeeping: Polite and service minded.
Location: Good, but stress to cross the road going towards beach.
