How to Get There
If you like minimalist design, this is the place to stay. Some may see the property as bare bones or cold, but we love the design - raw concrete walls, marble bathroom, dark and moody lobby. Customer service was excellent when needed. Le Labo products in the bathroom were a nice touch.
To me it is perfect location! I love to walk from hotel to Causeway Bay. Simple hotel yet stylish! Cold, quiet and feel the luxurious. Aesthetic design you can feel the mood! See it to believe it! Stay there to feel it!
We booked 3 rooms - 2 Queens, 1 King for our family's stay - and loved the location in a charming, slightly more quiet side of Causeway Bay that is within a 5 min walking distance from the MTR and great food options such as the Michelin Bib Gourmand awarded Sister Wah beef noodles.
The queen rooms are tight (as per typical HK standards), so it's worth spending a bit more for the bigger configurations. Very sleekly outfitted, but they possibly take their mantra as a design hotel a little too seriously, lighting is unnecessarily dim and our driver completely missed the entrance as the hotel name is not anywhere on the building itself but inscribed in a too cool for school steel "placemat" on the ground.
My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights while we were in Hong Kong and were mostly pleased with the experience. The staff who work here are fantastic. They were very warm and friendly and did their best to be helpful when we had issues with delayed luggage.
The design of the hotel is a bit odd and feels like it's trying a bit too hard to be cool at the expense of practicality. The entrance from the street is not at all obvious and I'm glad I'd read a review which warned me it could be hard to find. Once you enter the building it's absurdly dark, to the point where we had trouble reading the sign for the elevator.
The hotel's location is pretty good, it's a few minutes walk from an MTR station and there are plentiful dining options within a couple of blocks. There is also a bus that runs to the airport which stops only one block away from here. We were really appreciative the front desk staff told us about that before we left since that was much easier than lugging our bags onto the MTR.
Once you first enter the hotel, just by smelling it, you understand it all!! Its all about the experience here. Nothing over the top, but not simple either. Really well thought out to cater your needs. It hasnt been our first trip to HK, and somehow we havent been able to find a place that was both reasonably priced and still well designed. Tuve is at the perfect location, in a quiet area but also near Causway bay (where all the good shopping is). We both enjoyed our time here and now that we found this jem we will return for sure!
