Overview

Luxe towers mixing business and pleasure with Michelin-starred fare, pool and spa east of Hong Kong’s CBD

The Lowdown

The 512 rooms in this 61-floor skyscraper above the posh Pacific Place mall have larger-than-average layouts, offering guests breathing room in the space-starved metropolis. The interiors are also designed to soothe with clean lines and an understated chicness with touches of gold and gleaming wood panels. Frequent business travelers who need a breather from the urban jungle should opt for Victoria Peak-view rooms for glimpses of the actual jungle. Or allot some time to lounge by the heated outdoor pool and hot tub.

In the Area

Sticky heat and rain — Hong Kong’s default weather settings — don’t need to ruin your day in Admiralty and Central, the city’s shopping meccas. Pacific Place’s marquee collection of top international brands (plus a movie theater that serves wine and canapes) and The LANDMARK’s stronghold of up-market malls, including the glamorous ifc on the harbor, are linked by subway and an elaborate network of covered walkways. That means you never have to get wet or break a sweat putting your credit card through its paces. When the weather holds, unforgettable views from Victoria Peak (and more shopping/dining/museum-ing) are just a very very steep tram ride away.

Was charged for something I did not get.

My booking included breakfast. On checking in they denied that it did and kept trying to sell me a upgrade including breakfast. When checking out I was told it did include breakfast. Duty Manager reimbursed 50%

Fabulous hotel, Great location

Ordinarily, I would not have spent the extra money to stay at the Conrad, but it is my husband’s favorite HK hotel. It is one of American Express’s Fine Hotels and Resorts and so we booked through their website to receive a $100 resort credit, free breakfast and room upgrade. We were put on the Club Level with a nice lounge, which was especially welcomed since we were traveling with one of our daughters and so quarters were tight (no charge for a rollaway). The location is great and we could easily walk to the Peak Tram, MTR, Mid-Levels, and catch the 6 bus to Stanley. One of my favorite parts of traveling in Asia is the breakfast and Conrad did not disappoint. Not sure why, but a couple dumplings and fried noodles, followed with fresh cut fruit and yogurt is just the BEST way to start a day! Loved our stay.

Hard to beat this fine hotel ideally located in the middle of HK. Luxury property staffed by a friendly team. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, facilities are first rate and the concierge team are well trained. A real treat to stay here.
