How to Get There
As part of Airline crew we visit Shangri La often and was welcomed warmly as always. The atmosphere is amazing. And the staff including Lyle Li the concierge to everyone had a very hospitable attitude. Definitely can't wait to be here again.
I am a new guest of Shangri-la hotel, and i like it here so very much.People are so much friendly in this hotel.Lyle Li and Chico Yang gave me a very good staying experience at this hotel. Many thanks with this hotel and staffs here.
We stayed at the Shangri La Beijing last week and had the most awesome stay. Mainly due to the concierge Justin whom I feel should be named "Concierge of the Year". A more welcome amiable fellow, one could not meet. He helped us organise our trip to The Great Wall with sound advice as well as the other areas we wanted to visit and some we'd never heard of, that were local haunts and simply wonderful. We immersed ourselves in the Beijing culture and enjoyed every minute thanks to him. We received a rose for mothers day and a welcome panda from him. The other staff at the hotel were equally as efficient and helpful, but he just held the floor and was amazing. Keep it up Justin- you made such an impression and really made our trip to Beijing wonderful - thank you!
Reasonably priced branded 5* hotel.
We were given the option to upgrade our originally booked Superior room at the old Garden Wing by paying an additional ~RMB500+/night to the Premier room at the new Valley wing which comes with breakfast and lounge access. We didn’t want to fork the extra cost so the hotel staff generously gave us an upgrade to the Premier room without breakfast/lounge access. The receptionist also told us the old Garden wing is 30+ years and recommend us to stay in the new wing. Very glad to stay in the new wing.
The Premier Room (Valley Wing):
There’s ample space in the room and it looks very new. There’s also a small living area to host a handful of visitors. The TV is rotatable to face either the bed or the living area. The toilet seemed wheelchair accessible, which could be why there isn’t a curtain to block off water from the shower — the only negative point I have with the room.
The Hotel garden:
The garden is nicely maintained with an ancient feel. I would recommend one to take a short walk in the day and grab some photos.
The Hotel staff:
All the hotel staff we met were polite and helpful. The lobby staff gave a quick recommendation of where I can visit and helped me with my DiDi (Uber equivalent) booking.
Today is May 20th, which is similar to valentine's day in China.the concierge Qiu Sir, gave us a rose with a very sweet heart. It was a great surprise to us. Thank you very much.Look forward to the next stay.
