How to Get There
Stayed here for a couple of days The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable they helped me set up my trip to San Cristobal, the food in their breakfast buffet was spot on, and my room was always clean.
Having just left a bad experience at a local beach we were very happy to check in to the Marriott, which turned out to be an oasis for three nights.
An architectural delight with indoor/outdoor spaces we enjoyed the pool and their two restaurants. We avoided the buffet and always are from the menu at their regular restaurant and went one night to The Mansion, their upscale steak house.although pricey by local standards it was well worth it. We had the porterhouse and filet with table side prepared Cesar salad which was excellent
Service was excellent with many English speakers on staff, rooms clean and beds comfortable. If you have reason to be in Tuxtla this is a good choicd
Our last night of our anniversary trip to Mexico earlier this year included staying at the Marriott Tuxtla Gutierrez Hotel. It is a beautiful place with a super cool front desk area and an amazing pool.
The rooms were comfortable, in temperature, as well as having soft beds with lots of bedding. There was a tv though I did not watch it. There was a fun hospitality room for special level members/guests offering lots of food and it was open pretty late with little finger foods and drinks, for free. The staff there was very friendly.
There was enough of parking but it was on several levels and it was a tad hard to actually find the driveway for the hotel as it is slightly back from the street. Also the atm in the hotel was broken and while there was a bank down the street it was a long driveway to walk there. Also we stayed here before an early morning flight and the hotel is pretty far from the airport (about 40 minutes by taxi), though we discovered there really isn't much closer to the airport.
We had no issues with the elevator or anything in our room.
Overall we had a nice stay in a beautiful hotel.
Nice experience at the Marriott. Lots of staff in the lobby to offer assistance, offer guest services. Very good housekeeping. And wonderful free breakfast buffet - can only be described as lavish. Dining room has great ambience. All in all very enjoyable time
Upon arrival we were greeted at the sidewalk by the hotel's staff and proceeded to unload the suitcases onto the cart. The staff at the registration desk were already waiting for us as we had informed via text that we were about to arrive. In the room, every detail was explained and we were to call them by first name.
The restaurant was a buffet style and it was like a who's who of delicacies, regardless whether it was breakfast or lunch. It was a magnificent stay and will surely stay here again.
