Well-located hotel but bed not so comfortable
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Stayed here 2 nights. The hotel is an old house with wooden beams. It is centrally located, 5 minutes from the Zocalo.

The bedrooms are spacious but the bed was not especially comfortable with lumpy pillows. There is no in-room safe provided.

There is no air conditioning but at 2000 meters altitude it was not needed. There are wood-burning fireplaces in the bedrooms, lit on request and for a small charge after the first fire.

Breakfast was adequate and cooked to order.

The WiFi is good throughout

From the moment of arrival to the departure the service was great and friendly. You can walk evrywhere drom this centrally locatwd place. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. They also have parking for driving customers which it is a plus in San Cristobal. Enjoy

Good location - close to city center

At first glimpse the place looks lovely but it doesn’t really live up to it and additionally the staff helpfulness differ tremendously.

Even in the check in counter they basically don’t speak any English ... or at least they don’t want to! So bring your dictionary.

Breakfast is at best mediocre and had it not been for the egg-lady, it would have been a disaster.
This morning we almost had to shout in the restaurant to get a cup of coffee while the three waiters were giggling over something they found on their mobiles. When they finally showed up, they poured coffee but left without pouring the milk ...

It’s very cold indoors in July and there are no heating installed. Beds (especially in the twin room) is hard and uncomfortable.

We get the impression that they don’t really care.

Great location, great feel

Great location basically one block off main square and pedestrian zone. Loved the feel of this place, courtyard and wood accents with antiques scattered throughout. Room was clean and large with fireplace, bathroom nice. Only caveats: bed sheets not fitted so when you move sheet comes undone and door to little balcony (nice to sit on) didn’t lock. Bed was harder but we liked that. All in all we would stay again anytime.

Lovely hotel!!

My friend and I LOVED this hotel. The property was just so beautiful and well kept. I love places with inner courtyards! The location was great too - just a short walk to the main square & cathedral. Our room was a nice size and had a cute little balcony that was sort of inside-outside - nice for the chilly evenings and mornings! The bathroom was kind of small, but not to a fault. The staff were nice, although we did not have very much interaction with them, aside from check-in and check-out. It got pretty chilly at night, but I found that the blankets were enough to keep us toasty. We didn't need to purchase any additional wood for the fireplace. We didn't eat in the restaurant, although I heard good things about it.

I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in SCdlC!
