How to Get There
We visited for four nights during the Yi Peng and loi kathrong festivals. Couldnt have made a better choice. Close enough to walk to town with cool shops and restaurants nearby yet feels like a remote location once within the grounds. A lux one. Most important is the staff who really look out for you. The term butler is probably not the most accurate. It's more like a personal concierge who knows all the best spots to go and gets you there. Puy was ours and she was the best! We made her be our friend and she really made the trip...gave us her cell so we could text questions and she took care of everything. Even escorted us down to the river on yi peng with crowds all around. Really, the best. Thanks Puy! Everyone should go here.
Lovely colonial public spaces with a first rate interior designer. Lovely rooms and bathroom with very private balcony. Superbly comfortable beds, pillows and bed linens and great furnishings. The staff were superb, especially the wonderful Pui who was assigned to us and was super helpful and utterly lovely.
After come back home we still remember our major-dome Toto, he take care of our stay in order to be perfect, he organize our journeys and restaurant reservations, and that make all the difference! The hotel is cosy and rooms are pure luxury. The restaurant and breakfast are amazing! Squeezed juices like in the market, and first Choice products. If you travel to chiang mai make sure your experience starts here..
We spent five days vacationing here. The facility was beautiful. The service was outstanding and all of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were assigned a butler (Ray) which I did not believe we would really use. I was wrong! Ray handled all of our dinner reservations and transportation. He negotiated pricing with the tuk tuk drivers and provided guidance for return fares. He scheduled turn down service based on our schedule. Basically Ray handled every request. As an added bonus, the bed was the most comfortable i have ever slept in.
100% agree with what has been written. To emphasize, the service is A+. Staff members go out of their way to make your stay more if an "experience.". The rooms are also spectacular. We had a large patio outside of our rooms that were a perfect escape. Our butlet, Pui, was always available to make a recommendation to make our short stay perfect. The teak house is a wonderful setting to eat and adds to the charm of the hotel. If you come Chiang Mai this is THE place to stay.
