How to Get There
Visited as a family of 4 with our 3 & 5 year old sons. Staff incredibly welcoming and accommodating to the kids. Without request, they had car seats installed in van at airport pickup and greeted kids by name, even acknowledging and confirming our son’s food allergy. Stayed in the David Fleming Macfie Suite, which was perfect - boys stayed on daybed in the room which actually had sliding doors off of the main bedroom. Great outdoor shower as well. Small touches such as kids slippers and bathrobes charmed us all upon check in. Staff was helpful about suggesting activities the boys would enjoy including pointing us in the direction of Elephant Parade (walking distance from hotel) where boys could paint their own ceramic elephants as souvenirs. Food was fantastic. We utilized staff babysitting services for a dinner out and the boys were thrilled with the woman who stayed with them, searching for her throughout the day for the remainder of the visit. Bottom line - great family experience but would easily book again as a couples-only visit in the future.
Our first time at 137 Pillarshouse, and we fell in love with its charms. From the moment of our arrival the staff spared no details to accommodate us in every way. We felt like we stayed in our family home surrounded by relatives. They made our stay very comfortable with all the privacy we wanted. This was a place for complete relaxation and a retreat from our hectic lifestyle. A place to recharge.
The bar and restaurants offered amazing Western and Asian dishes. Our extensive breakfast buffets had abundance of local and foreign dishes, and the staff kept our drinks flowing. The gorgeous pool was private and serene perfect for cooling off from daily adventures.
Our beautiful room was always stocked with drinks and snacks. We also enjoyed bedtime stories left with each nightly turndown. Plenty of space and well appointed with a large balcony overlooking the gardens and water features. We are impressed with their attention to details. Definitely would give ten stars if we could for extraordinary accommodations.
Having a personal Butler, Pui, was a new and welcome experience for us. And a game changer in terms of enabling us get the most out of our time Chiang Mai. From helping us select tours and find our way around the city to serving as a convenient single point of contact for room service, transportation, housekeeping and other needs, Pui was a huge help. She, Anne (the GM) and the rest of the 137 pillars team are serious pros who clearly take pride in guest satisfaction via true 5-star service. They made our stay as relaxing and fun as it was memorable. Highly recommend.
