Surrounded by verdant pine forests which lead down to its very own private beach, MarePineta Resort has recently emerged from a swish restyle by prestigious Studio Lissoni, restoring it to its former splendour. For many years one of the go-to destinations in Milano Marittima (an upscale bolthole for aristocratic city dwellers in the Northeastern province of Ravenna), it retains an air of glamour and sophistication. Also in the grounds is the MarePineta Tennis Club, boasting no less than ten clay courts, which hosts international tournaments.
During your stay at MarePineta, you’ll make your home in a superb room at Villa Regina – a more modern addition to the original 1920s main building, featuring sleek lines, gleaming mirrored glass and hand-picked designer furniture. Elsewhere, spend time at the sparkling outdoor pool, mix and mingle at the private beach club set on pristine sands, and work up a sweat at the open-air Technogym. Throughout your sojourn you can expect VIP treatment, as well as bold flavours at two restaurants headed up by Michelin-starred chef Andrea Ribaldone – with all this, you’re guaranteed a stay that’s a cut above the rest.
How to Get There
very good position of resort, nice pool with clean water, great breakfast.
Rooms are small sound insulation is not best but everything is clean and nice.
The hotel is very close to the beach and have organized towel service etc, there is hotel restaurant also on the beach .
We recently stayed here for a 10 day break. After a bumpy start with some issues in the beach restaurant, and technical issues with air conditioning (both of which were resolved after a few grumbles), we really enjoyed the remainder of the stay. But, why I feel compelled to write this review is to thank Irene, Guest Relations for making our stay so memorable. Her local knowledge of where to eat saw us visit some of the best restaurants in the area. Nothing was too much trouble, and every detail was thought of (including ordering taxis for us with instructions for drivers about our baby and child), warm welcomes from the patrons of the restaurants we visited, and ultimately helping us to plan our week in the most impactful way. She even made sure we had family photographs to capture the memories of our trip. A credit to the hotel, and someone I hope we return to see.
We’ve travelled extensively and stayed at lots of 5 star family hotels. Most lack real personal attention with charm. Many are lacking in atmosphere and miss that special ingredient that this hotel has. It’s not the most beautiful or the most luxurious but it is sweet and comfortable, with delightful staff.
The refurbished rooms are fantastically spacious and very clean. The food is exceptional, it’s all good and nicely cooked. The staff do their best to ensure you have a great experience. The beach is wonderful.
The swimming pool needs an update though and the beds weren’t as clean as they should be. However, towels were fresh and abundant and you didn’t have to get up at 7 to get your beds!
We will definitely return. Loved it!! It’s just got so much atmosphere.
