Surrounded by verdant pine forests which lead down to its very own private beach, MarePineta Resort has recently emerged from a swish restyle by prestigious Studio Lissoni, restoring it to its former splendour. For many years one of the go-to destinations in Milano Marittima (an upscale bolthole for aristocratic city dwellers in the Northeastern province of Ravenna), it retains an air of glamour and sophistication. Also in the grounds is the MarePineta Tennis Club, boasting no less than ten clay courts, which hosts international tournaments.

Walking distance to lots of different bars and restaurants. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely nothing! This hip and beautifully appointed property could not have been better. Each person on the staff represents the best of what fabulous service is all about. 0ur balconied room overlooking the red clay tennis courts was big, newly refurbished and was perfect for relaxing while waiting to play my next tournament match.
An abundance of towels and other bathroom amenities really showed how much management believes it putting the best possible product into the market.
I must acknowledge that Martina Fantoni was just simply outstanding.Nothing was a problem that she couldn't solve. Food great, incredible breakfast buffet with brilliant service and FRESH SQUEEZED JUICES. The dinner menus while limited nonetheless are really artisan like with the best ingredients and presentation. Milano Marittima is a beautiful seaside town and this resort with a great beach is the perfect place to stay.
We booked the 5* hotel as a treat on our honeymoon. When we were shown our room I was very disappointed at the standard of the room, it was no nicer than a Premier Inn. We noticed no bins in the rooms. No tea and coffee making facilities. But what spoilt our stay was the fact the rooms had NO soundproofing. We were woken up every night of our stay with people coming in at night, watching tv, having sex etc. I was gutted. Also woken up in the mornings with guests above us flushing the toilets etc. This is just not on with a 5* hotel to not have BASIC sound proofing. I spoke on 3 different occasions to the reception to be told there was nothing they could do. Seeing how upset I was and on honeymoon. There was no real apology.
We were told on our arrival if you ut the do not disturb sign on, the room wont be entered and you can take 5 Euros off your bill at the end to not have your room cleaned. We did this, it was still cleaned. So we put the no cleaning sign up the 2nd day... it was STILL cleaned.
We had a do not disturb sign on one evening for the maid to walk in on us.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the beach and food first class. But the rooms and customer service were a massive let down.
We left a day early as I was tired from sleepless nights.
I have emailed twice and been ignored, sent 2 Facebook messages. Once of them replied to resend the email. of which I replied to... for it to still be ignored!
This ruined our stay and the fact no one could be bothered to make our honeymoon special just confirmed we would never return here. If the matter was dealt with professionally we would have upped the rating. But a ruined honeymoon and awful customer service is the memories we take away from here.
Yes the staff are friendly and appear professional. But some major gaps in basic knowledge of hotel services and local area. Pool service, safety and clear up almost non existent.
Lovely rooms, it's been very nicely refurbished. Management just really need to pull the service together before it's great potential is wasted.
NB... insisting that staff wear full suits in crazy heat does not fool guests into thinking they are professional. Perhaps it rather hinders their productivity and makes guests feel uncomfortable?
We loved our stay!! The hotel is beautiful, close to the beach, big garden , nice pool , tennis courts and very very kind staff always there to help. You can have lunch and dinner at the beach with delicious food, the umbrellas are well separated which on this beach is definitely a plus !! The room was in Villa Regina which is not renovated like the central part of the hotel but still nice. Pets are welcomed and also treated as guests themselves with a little guide to amenities for them. We would stay again and recommend the stay to anyone
