How to Get There
I stayed in Amaya Langdale in August 23-25 with my family. Although the hotel market itself as a small luxury hotel, I did not find it to be so luxurious. The hotel had 13 rooms and all were fully booked. There was no buffet and there was only two people to receive order and serve. The hotel was terribly under staffed. Food was okay but not what you expect from a hotel of this class. The TV in the room was broken and the hotel said due to lightening strike. Plastic water bottles were used and so was not mortivated by a green concept. The location is very nice and staff was very friendly. In fact the staff apologised for having a few staff and the delays. They said they were closing for a major refurnishment. I went there because of the great Amaya name. Amaya has great hotels like the one in kandy which is a wonderful hotel. But not this particular one. Hope it will become better after the refurnishment.
This is an old Bungalow turned boutique hotel with a wonderful panoramic view of tea gardens and hills and the view was the best I've seen in a hotel in Nuwara Eliya, The room was cosy and very comfortable. Food was delicious and the service was top notch. Will definitely visit again.
One of the most calm holiday destinations in the country. A perfect hideout. Meals are great though they have a set menu stuff rather than having buffet being a boutique hotel. Professionalism of the staff is exceptional as they were kind & helpful all the time. Amenities in the rooms are excellent. Hoping to visit this place once again.
