I stayed 3 times since last December 2018 till feb.2019 in this place. With my daughter, then with some friends from work and later with some friends from overseas. I have been visiting this place regularly from the inception of Amaya. Always had the best service with quality and smile. Splendid work done by the G.manager along with his coordinating staff makes it really special. Super quality rooms, fine dining experience with the Sous Chef Dayananda and well supported by Aruna who is the restaurant in charge makes it elegant. Chef Dayananda has a very fine high quality food and super presentation that catch ur eye and palate. House keeping staff does a wonderful job while out door cleaning and well maintained gardens are a bonus. Cleaning ladies with their beautiful smile makes ur day even better. No need to say how wonderful to have the ladies in charge in PR, Front office and Asst. Manager. They really walk around and talk to all with their beautiful smile and make no mistake allocating ur room to ur needs. Thank u Priyanthi, Sandeepani, and newly joined PR (sorry I just cant recall ur name).
I am sad to see some negative comments here but I never think that the staff of Signature as well as Amaya would really jeopardize the task of maintaining the customer relations and service at its best.
Thank you all so much and surely we will see you again and again.

My family booked a signature family suite(Room 320) for 01 night stay on 02/02 on f/b basis.we arrived at the hotel around 12.30 noon and the welcome was smooth.THe front office staff was very polite and the room was ready even 1 1/2 hrs prior with no time. The signature hotel allows to have there meals even at Amaya Lake resturent where they serve buffet meals.

We had all meals at the Lake resturent and the chose of the buffet was not up to the expected 5 * standared.

The give suite was quite big and the same was very clean the same is located in a cosy location.

The AC was good but the HOT water was not continiously coming if you want to have a quick shower.

The 03 meals which were taken from their sister hotel Amaya Lake was not up to the standered except for the breakfast on 03/02/19 which had a wide choice.

The hotel has a lareg reserved forst where you can walk around or have a bullock cart ride for usd 5 perperson.

The 02 pools were neat and clean but the pool at the signature has a beautifule seenick view.

Beautiful luxuries stay in Dambulla

The rooms are tastefully desigined and beautifully landscaped both inside and outside. The rooms are very cosy and silent with a good night sleep. The jacuzzi was realy useful and had a nice water massage. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are vey comfortable with feather filled pillows. The food was tasty and the spread was good. the service was excellent with a smile. We stayed in the 316 villa on the 02nd of February 2019 and had a very relaxing stay and worth for the money spend.

However a few things to complain,
1. The night time house keeping was not done as promised and we have to do the bed preparations.
2. The candle in the bathroom was already burnt out and not replaced for the new stay.
3. The iron and iron board in the room was missing and have to call the house keeping to get one for the room.
4. The TV was not programed to access the set of box immediately after every exit where the power will be knoked out when we take the room key card.
5. The morning newspapers was not provided even asking from the reception.

If the management can correct these measures then it will be a perferct place for a vaccation. Hope some actions from Amaya Group of hotels.

A bit disappointing

“Amaya Signature” is really just a few luxury bungalows with a dedicated pool (quite nice) and a nondescript restaurant building at the far end of the vast Amaya Lake resort.
The bedroom/sitting room, walk-in dressing-room and bath were indeed large, modern and well-appointed, and the balcony looking out on immaculate grounds was pleasant.
But there were a number of small annoyances: the bed was quite short, the balcony door was hard to open and close, pieces from the jacuzzi detached into the bath water and WiFi was spotty.
Since the restaurant set menu which we tested on our first night was not especially impressive, we took most of our meals in the main dining area of the Amaya Lake, where buffets offered more choice.
Food there was OK if unexceptional, ambience was noisy with many groups and a heavily Chinese clientele, and service was quickly overwhelmed especially on our last breakfast when a wedding event was also scheduled.
So despite the usual smiling staff the overall feeling, while not unpleasant, was not of a truly high-end experience.

Lovely stay

We stayed 4 nights and had a lovely time. The room was really spacious and comfortable.

We were very lucky to have the pool and al a carte restaurant to ourselves on most days.

The restaurant staff at the al a carte were so friendly and helpful.

The only negative was the hot water didn’t last for long in the shower.
